Poll question: Does the War Powers Act need to be revised?
Should we go back the drawing board on it? Given that our last two major wars were not even declared wars (Gulf War I & II) it has seemingly been rendered useless and irrelevant. Your thoughts on why or why not?
Then that means it's not working right? There have been to many situations before Bush II in which the country for all intents and purposes went to war without declaring war. That would indicate some serious loopholes that need to be closed. Hence the WP Act is structurally flawed.
It just isn't properly enforced. Kinda like speed limits. Sing says 65 but everyone knows you can drive 75 w/o getting a ticket. This is what we get when we elect weak willed politicians to office instead of decent folks.
