Will Sirius definitely be carrying AA?

The new car came in today, and I have to decide between XM and Sirius. I am leaning towards Sirius, but I want to be sure that it is carrying AA, and more hours of AA than XM. Can anyone help me out?

5. I meant corporate ties
most corporations are evil, but clear channel is pure, concentrated evil

I liked this comparison: XM has the playboy channel

HOW DO YOU HAVE THE PLAYBOY CHANNEL ON RADIO???

that just cracks me up.

7. from what I understand, XM does not actually carry Air America..
Edited on Wed Apr-07-04 03:18 PM by wyldwolf
...and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong...

XM only carries some of AA's programming in conjunction with their "radio left."

The only carry 1 hour of Randi Rhodes, and have Shultz and Alan Colmes.

16. You're Welcome
I get my Sirius info from

http://www.siriusbackstage.com

The Sirius Media Relations guy posts there so info usually gets there before it hits the press releases.

17. So far am loving our XM. Heard it has better compression
than sirius of the music, so that was one major factor for getting it. Also like the programming a bit better.

18. Satellite Radio Rocks no matter who!
I prefer Sirius. Sometimes the XM play lists are a bit too deep for my preferences (I have a friend who has XM and listen to it sometimes).

XM or Sirius is always better than AM/FM.

I know a lot of people who have both. I've been tempted many a times to sub to XM, but my budget won't allow it right now. :)

20. A Good Deal on Sirius
Edited on Wed Apr-07-04 09:38 PM by Wheaty
Sirius offers a Friends & Family deal from time to time

One of the Stream Jockeys on Sirius QutQ
http://www.sirius.com/OutQ is offering up the codes for a deal. There is a pdf file here with details.

http://www.eatromaine.com/links/sirius/ffmay.pdf

The gist of the deal is that you get a complete Plug N Play system for $49.99 as long as you subscribe for 6 months.

All the codes and phone numbers and details are in the PDF file here:

http://www.eatromaine.com/links/sirius/ffmay.pdf

It's a good deal for the Plug N play system. It saves you about $100.

While you are on the phone, tell the operator you are interested in Air America. I'm sure they are gatherings some rough statistics.

23. You'll love it
I was waiting for one of the Friends and Family offers to roll out to post here for everyone.

I've been lurking here on DU for a year and DU has kept me sane. Especially since I live in central Pennsylvania jokingly referred to as the Alabama of the North (lots of Republicans here in the Appalachians of central PA)

Sirius pulling through for it's Subscribers in offering Air America has brought me out of lurk mode.

Three things I'm evangelical about.

1) Getting rid of Bush
2) Satellite Radio
3) Tivo

I wanted to share the Sirius deal with the folks here who keep me from banging my head on my desk too much. I was glad when the Sirius OutQ Stream Jockey posted the deal on her website so I could pass it along.

Wheaty,

PS here is a good link to comparisons of Satellite Radio Plug N Play equipment
