Excite Poll: reason Rwanda wasn't helped
Do you agree or disagree with Dallaire's statement that Rwanda wasn't helped because it was of "no strategic importance?"

Agree 48% => 4011 votes

1. I'd vote agree
I think its criminal that was the reason that their was no intervention.

However, I can't tell, due to poor wording, if the intent is to say we were right not to help for that reason, or do you agree with Romeo?

General Romeo Dallaire, commander of the U.N. peacekeeping force, said yesterday that Western countries bear "criminal responsibility" for Rwanda's 1994 genocide of nearly 1,000,000 people over 100 days because they did not attempt to stop the massacre. Dallaire says the African country was not helped because it was of "no strategic importance." (CNN)
