Anybody Miss Bill Clinton?
This is one time that I wish that Bill Clinton could have run for a third term!

13. He was our Democratic president, and is the arch-enemy of the RW...
So he gets a thumbs-up on two counts in my book.

Welcome to DU, bushiehater! :toast:

17. The rest of the country was on a picnic
when he was in charge, compared to the piece of shit squatting in the White House now.

4. Yup. Time for the Big Dog to get back on the campaign trail.
For Kerry, I mean. His presence on the stump would serve to remind Americans that under Bush*, "our national nightmare of peace and prosperity is finally over".

8. I want him back as Prez, and I hated some of his policies, how he ignored
the incrasing gulf between corporate CEO and worker, and firing Jocelyn Elders at the behest of the repukes was pretty nasty too...

10. Every. Damn. Day.
He was a leader, even in a time when the power-hungry right wing was doing everything in their power to keep him from leading.

12. yes
I would choose him over bush any day. However, mzny of his policies helped create the mess we are in now.

16. Wrong.
Bush's policies have created this mess, by looting the treasury for his rich friends, who in turn hand some of it back to his campaign.

Bush's policies have created this mess, by ignoring terrorism threats in 2001 and by having nothing but contempt for anything President Clinton did or said.

Bush's policies have created this mess; terrorist organizations are now more organized and hate America even more because of the invasion of an Arab country based on lies.

Bush's policies have created this mess. Period.

15. Oh my God, I SO do
Remember what it was like to have a grownup in charge?

Remember when we had a real, live, elected President instead of a squatter?

Remember when the President could actually speak coherently?

Remember when unemployment was so low businesses had trouble hiring people?

Remember when we were more safe because of REAL fights against terrorism?

19. Yes. DESPERATELY. Oh, for a president who actually understands
issues and doesn't mongrelize the English Language. One who gives a damn enough to be up late every night, and in on every meeting, AND - with ideas to contribute to every one of those meetings. Oh, for someone who REALLY did understand the common man, because he was born one. Unlike the schmuck in there now, Clinton had to get where he was by his own work and brainpower ALONE. He had not fancy-ass, rich, well-connected elitist daddy to pull his sorry ass up into high places that weren't earned OR deserved. OR to clean up after him. NOBODY pulled strings to help Clinton.

Maybe that's why the wrong-wingers hate him so much. He shows up all their failings.

24. Yes
He had his faults, but he also had a very strong sense of good government, how to fiscally run the company--delivered it to Bushco with a budget surplus that would have seen our country through over the course of these last few years, he could galvanize the voting populus and was able to engender hope in people.

There is no one of the horizon, now, that has that same quality and that is such a shame.
