Ohio DUers: Kerry Rally/Speech in Cincinnati Tuesday, April 6!
Edited on Sun Apr-04-04 02:34 PM by VolcanoJen
Mods... I intended to post this in GD:2004. Sorry!!

From the Harris for Congress Campaign; Kerry will appear at Sawyer Point this Tuesday at noon to deliver a speech on jobs and outsourcing.

Let's give him a big welcome! It's going to be a beautiful day, and Cincinnatians love a sunny springtime afternoon on the river! Here's the info:

John Kerry Coming to Cincinnati!

Senator John Kerry will be making a special appearance in Cincinnati on Tuesday, April 6th, to discuss jobs and outsourcing. The event will be held at Yeatman's Cove in Sawyer Point. Arrival time is 11:00 am; Kerry will speak at Noon.

Kerry's team has given the Harris for Congress campaign "preferred seating" tickets to distribute to our friends and supporters. If you would like tickets, please stop by Harris for Congress headquarters Sunday, April 4th, from 2:00-5:00 pm, or Monday, April 5th, from 3:00-6:00 pm. You may pick up as many tickets as you like; however the Kerry campaign requests that you provide a name for each ticket you request.

Harris for Congress headquarters is located in Over-the-Rhine at 1420 Main Street, on the corner of Main and Orchard, one block south of where Main & Liberty Streets intersect.

2. Hey, Volcano, how are he local polls going out there in a Kerry/Bush
matchup and even a Kerry/Bush/Ralp matchup. What's your feeling since this has been thought a real key state given Bush won it by less than 5% of the vote. Do you see a swing at all???

3. There hasn't been a head-to-head poll in awhile, but...

... Chimpy's approval rating continues to decline in Ohio. He's down to 46% Approval, slipping 3 more points since February:

Bush Slipping in Ohio, Poll Says

As far as the general mood, I'd say that the Democrats have never been in a better position to swing Ohio voters to the left. The election is the top topic of conversation around here, and the tone isn't as bitter and wing-nut as it has been since Selection 2000.

Here is a chart showing how Chimpy's ratings in Ohio plummeted from April through September 2003; he's lost 9 more points in the 6 months since the poll below was taken!

Also, the Cincinnati Enquirer, a conservative right-wing rag of a newspaper, has as its Sunday headline a special report which shows that Cincinnatians are more concerned about the rising costs of health care than anything else:

I'm confident that Ohio is the state which will hand John Kerry the presidency in November. :-)
