With all the talk of electoral ties, the fact that a candidate requires the MAJORITY and not plurality of votes should be deeply frightening. Although it did not happen in 1948 or 1968 a Neo-confederate, Green or a state disqualification could lead to a "corrupt bargin" even worse than the election debacle of 1824.

He'd win, if he was lucky, maybe 1 state. I have no idea which one that'd be. It would be a blow out. McCain would get 75% of the vote.

Where did you hear that? I'd like to send an edtorial to our local paper with that info. It hasn't been publicized here in N. Ga. and as you know, that's where Zell is from.

As far as I can tell, the only people who even give him a rating of 1 are staunch 'Pubs. The rest of us rate him somewhere around -50.
