Last week MPs from all parties published a satirical masterpiece, The Seventh Report of the House of Commons Transport Committee: The Future of the Railway. It describes the attempts by the rulers of Britain to run a railway and wonders aloud whether they will be able to keep the enterprise on track for much longer.
