John Negroponte possible ambassador to Iraq?
Mentioned in passing by Stephanopolis on This Week. He said he was at the top of the list of possibilities. :puke:
Maybe we should dump all the war criminals in Iraq and let them fight it out.

4. This is about the dumbest thing I've heard yet

Our opposition in Iraq can't be intimidated. They are obviously willing to die for their cause. The Vietnamese showed similar commitment, but it took ten years for the bureaucratic corporate boneheads to recognize the ramifications.

Propaganda or "getting our message out" isn't working. In orwellian CENTCOM language, "they don't get it."

That leaves only one thing, a reign of terror. Prepare for midieval techniques and reprisals. The last option would be to incinerate entire towns.

Of course, we could withdraw and let the Iraqis resolve their own affairs, this would be the sensible thing to do.
