Soldier Switches Politics... Switches from Bush to Kerry
CBS News' Byron Pitts talks to a soldier who says before the war he was "the perfect role model of a young Republican," but after seeing six friends die in Iraq believes he will now vote for Kerry.

... I like this trend, though obviously not the circumstances that brought it about.

I saw him on tv last night and could not remember where I saw him.. I watched Lehrer,BBC,Olberman,Rather, and then I forgot where I saw him..

I hope Kerry's folks have been in touch with him.. He would be a great one to travel with Kerry and make an opening speech everywhere they go..

He is the PERFECT one to have speaking.. Kerry's old vietnam buddies are great, but that was a long time ago, and the young ones cannot really relate to them.. but this guy is dynamite.. His wife is a pistol too :)

4. First order of business when Kerry gets in
if the troops arent home, bring em home. Straight to the UN. beg for help on our hands and knees.
I cant take much more of the nightmare either.

12. Doesn't have to beg.
All Kerry will have to do is go to the UN and announce "We're under NEW MANAGEMENT. The place has been housecleaned, from the top down. So, let's talk!

The rest of the world will take it from there.

6. When I watched this video, it made me cry
The reunion between the soldier and his wife is so heart wrenching!

I remembered the earlier interview.

He is double brave. It made my day.

10. I feel so terrible for those guys
They are true heroes, and they deserve more than lies from their leadership.

15. I met a guy today who confessed to having been a Republican.
He is a volunteer for Independent Texans. He told me he had been a republican making good money in the tech industry. Then we all know the rest. This young man told me he will not vote for Bush again. He made me feel good for everything we have been doing. Marching, being here at DU, spreading the word (educating). Our conservative friends are not feeling comfortable. ( and we have lost many!, including family )
