they've been showing the clip of him lying during the state of the union address 6 months back, and he really looks heavily medicated, i kid you not. he speaks very plainly, but slow and deliberate, and his eyes are really glazed over and his face red. his eyes have a very faraway look, and he's almost whispering as he lies about great britain having documents proving saddam bought uranium from niger.

it is not the first time presidents have been doped up. they did it to reagan all the time. and bushdaddy was always on halcyon and thc eyedrops, i kid you not. it could be that they doped w up so good and rehearsed him so much that he just became an automaton and delivered the lies. that's no excuse of course, wheather or not he lied knowingly, or is too dumb to understand the speech as written, he's an incompetent, doped up liar and psychopath. welcome to 2003.

9. doped-up dope

I thought Bush looked doped up in his one and only (rigged) press meeting. I thought it was to keep him from smirking and keep him on message. He was on message all right--all he could do was repeat a few key lines, even if the question didn't fit. Of course, his being a puppet is no excuse; but I've felt for a long time he's being manipulated by Cheney and Rumsfeld. Occasionally, Colin Powell tries to push him in another direction. That's why we have such an incomprehensible foreign policy. What chicany!
