Can We Depend on Scandals and Promises??
Big, bad boy, Billy at his worst still had strong public support. Lesson: don't stupidly count on scandal bringing a president down - unless you think we will uncover irrefutable proof that the Bush family hired the hit on this nation on 9/11. I assume you realize that will not happen.

Promises---here's the problem with promises. 1) nobody listens to the spew of politicians (too bad); 2) anyone that does has been programmed by the repukes that anyting a politician promises for "you and your kin" means that your taxers will be raised 10 gazillion dollars -- and we are talking just YOU, personally. Thus the repukes spend that 10 gazzillion on rich bastards and rich corporations, the burden falls on the average Joe who gets nothing out of it, but he hasn't figured that out yet--never has and never will.

So what's the answer? In so many ways, there isn't an answer. We are in the unenviable position of being 'da guy who is running against da' guy in the White House'. It all depends on how MUCH Americans are hurting; and more importantly, how MANY Americans are hurting. If there is deep enough hurt spread thoughout a lot of people, the incumbent is "toast". If not that many Americans are hurting OR ARE TOO STUPID TO KNOW that they are hurting, or are too stupid to know how much they are soon to lose, they will stick with their 'president'--it's to them like sticking to the high school basketball team who sucks but at least it's THEIR team. Our only plan of attack is to convince a lot of people that they are hurting and that they are going to be destroyed in the nest four years. That is the entire, bottom line of this election. We do that or we don't win.
