Krugman Schools Journalists
What a sad state of today's journalism when a columnist whose forte is economics must instruct reporters the basics in how to do their jobs; like "checking facts before giving rumors national exposure." Krugman spanks blitzer and deservedly so. The WH house calls some clown (blitzer) with a rumor to spread about an "enemy" and instantly its on the air. Will anyone at CNN care? Maybe they can send their on air types to a journalism refresher course. Very sad.

2. That was good!
Way to go Paul! I am currently reading "The Great Unraveling." It's pretty good and I recommend it.

3. The Daily Show's Stephen Colbert said it best:
"Fact checking is for pussies."

4. Excellent column today!
So was Bob Herbert's on the Iraq mess and the op-ed piece by the Mother Jones reporter on the privatization of the military. And the unsigned editorials were worth readiong as well. Friday is my favorite day to read the NY Times.
