Gov Perry could be changing Texas into a Blue State for 2004

IMHO, education is important for the majority of people in this country. Perry is telling the Texas Bubbas and others, I want to lower the taxes on people in million dollar homes and you Bubbas will just have to pay more taxes in your cigs and things. In those poorer districts live Hispanics and other minority groups. Their taxes will have to be raised to make up for the lost of state money from the million dollar home owners.

IMHO they will be pissed. And come Nov vote Democratic.

2. Texas a blue state? It is to laugh.

It helps to live here and talk and listen to people. As an electorate, Texans don't give a good goddamn about schools (they'd rather build prisons). Even Texans making minimum wage mostly think it's deeply unfair that millionaires should pay a higher percentage of taxes than they do, and you can't explain to them that sales taxes (the main tax in Texas) are regressive. They don't understand what "regressive" means, and merely using the word automatically makes you a communist here.

The best thing Texas could do for national politics is secede.
