Nader wants Kerry to loosen up
Edited on Wed Mar-31-04 06:33 PM by Victimerican
(First post. If I missed something, lemme know :hi: )

link

"John Kerry has got to get loose," Nader said Tuesday. "He cannot allow political consultants to put handcuffs on his mind and his imagination. He's got to stop talking Senate-ese and be the old John Kerry I knew 23 years ago."

I wholeheartedly agree with Mr. Nader here. A lot of people were turned off by Gore's perceived lack of personality, and I fear that Kerry might fall into the same trap. I've admittedly never met the man, but from what I've seen, he doesn't seem as personable as Dean, or even Bush. Say what you will about the man (please don't, or DU will need to buy more servers:)), but he comes off, at least to me, as a normal guy.

The best thing I could see Kerry doing is, as Nader said, relax, and show the public he's more than just a senator from Massachusetts and a war hero.

1. welcome to DU
Kerry is chilled out when not in campaign mode. He plays hockey, snowboards, hunts, rides a Harley, etc. I think he needs to loosen up his stiff campaign image a little too. He speaks well but doesn't come off as a regular guy at all. Some like the "professional" image, I preferred Dean's image. It would be so awesome if he chose Dean as VP or some other high position in his campaign.

2. Pot Calling The Kettle

How in the world can Ralph Nader, one of the most boring men on the planet, give advise to anyone about their communication skills.

Kerry may not be Bill Clinton in style but he certainly has more flair and style than Nader! Kerry asleep is more with it than Nader when he gets up in the morning.

Curse DU and it's crazy linking scheme, and posters who steal my thread ideas while I'm in class! :p

Also, this thread doesn't count as my first. This was a warm up. My next thread so original, that DUers and Freepers will hold hands around a fire and sing Kum Bi Yah. -plots-

4. But he isn't
more than just a senator and a war hero. Well, a rich gigolo, but I don't think we want to talk about that in the heartland.

7. Inserting
"boring" between the "a" and "rich" would make for a more precise description, methinks.
