RFPI - Can someone explain a what the deal is?

Hiya everyone!

Can someone do a bit of explanation on Radio for Peace International?

Why is it there to begin with?

Who are the people shutting it down? Why?

What is the UN reaction?

Why is it so damned hard for me to get on my Shorwave radio??? (No, I understand that, but do with it would come in more clearly).

Isn't it odd that once you find out about something really cool like RFPI, it always ends up getting shut down.

Any infomration would be helpful!

I did see your post yesterday and took action to contact all the requested people.

I've been following the saga a bit on Democracy Now! and elsewhere, but I'm still a bit confused on the whole thing. I'll so some more digging on the RFPI website.

Thanks to you for bringing this to our attention though. Shortwave radio is soooo cool.

And it's scary that I trust Radio Havanna more than Faux News (or most other corporate media outlets), though.
