The "medigate" scandal that is being swept under the media carpet!
Heard Lutenberg, H. Clinton, and E. Kennedy today talking about the scandal and how this administration is guilty of lying and misleading the Congress and the American people and how the administration's henchmen in Congress pulled the greatest scam against the American and forced an official to lie and withhold actual costs from Congress or lose his job. The RW-media has blaced this story out all over the nation. Wonder what those swing-staters would think if they ever saw an ad exposing this scandal? Where the hell is the Kerry campaign?

3. Yeah
Bad timing--I mean yeah this is a serious issue; but is it or Richard Clarke the bigger story? I think Clarke is the bigger story in that it is more damaging to President Bush, and as such I think Kerry is making the right move in staying off stage and letting Richard Clarke get his hits in.

Personally I think this story (the medicare story) is more of a sleeper--it will be a part of the campign and Kerry will be talking about it.

9. You mean we can't walk and chew gum at the same time?
Wasn't that Rummy who said we can fight more than one war at a time? Just before we invaded Iraq...but I digress.

Why the hell can't these both be big issues at the same time. What are we, dog meat?

5. how is it being "swept under the media carpet"?
I heard about it from the media. YOU evidently heard about it from the media.

I'd venture to say that if you've heard a story, it's NOT being swept under the carpet.

6. Medicare "medicate"
scandal has been bothering me also. I was wondering why the media hasn't pushed this harder. It is almost as important as the 911 question, if not as important. I have written my congress rep regarding this.. I hope someone sees it for what it is. Another one of georgies BIG LIES.

7. Democrats need only use "The L word" and they will get FULL COVERAGE
Edited on Tue Mar-30-04 09:24 PM by Dr Fate
If DEMS REALLY want to get the media talking about this, then FIRST they have to get Republicans & Rush talking about it.

The way to do that is SO simple you might not even believe me- all ya have to do is call Bush a "liar".

It's that simple. But you have to actually USE the WORD "liar".

All variations of the same word (Lies, lied lying. etc) work as well...

You asked WHY it is not a big media story, and I told you. It's because DEMS have not used that one simple word.
