Disturbing typo in *'s new letter on Rice testimony- "die committee"
already gone
but

on drudge there was a "copy" of alberto gonzales' letter to the 911 commission stating rice would testify etc.{Tue Mar 30 2004 10:43:17 ET}

no kidding...
the 6th paragraph down was:
"The necessary conditions are as follows. First, the Commission must agree in writing that Dr. Rice's testimony before die Commission does not set any precedent for future Commission requests, or requests in any other context, for testimony by a National Security Advisor or any other White House official."

Note the second sentence:
"First, the Commission must agree in writing that Dr. Rice's testimony before die Commission does not set any precedent for future Commission requests, or requests in any other context, for testimony by a National Security Advisor or any other White House official."

I am not making this up.

Where did it come from?

Any way to check the evidence trail?
Can only be online for another hour b4 work.

The copy of the letter on cnn didn't have this error.

Weird.

1. Translated from the original German, perhaps?

Anyone know whether the noun 'Commission' in German is masculine, feminine or neuter?

would it be:
die Kommission
der Kommission
or
das Kommission

?

on edit:
Just asked Google: It's 'die Kommission'.

3. It would depend on the gender of 'Commission'
Now that I think about it, I wonder if Henry Kissinger is hiding out in the Oval Office writing this stuff?
