Visa's goal is to eliminate money
What do you think about this? Is a cashless society inevitable, or is it a menacing step towards a big brother society. Does privacy demand that cash remains, or is it time for a new way to do things in the dawn of the 21st century. Visa's corporate goal would like to see no more cash money, they want it all done by the cards. New progress, or the next fateful step to the famous mark of the beast required to buy and sell?

1. visa wants a record of every transaction you make
Do you want them to have that kind of information? If we came up with some sort of anonymous money that isn't "cash" that's fine with me.

4. They also want a profit on every transaction you make
I think Visa gets a 2-3% fee from the merchants. AMEX gets more.

2. Your 2 suppositions are not mutually exclusive!
Along with the chip implants in our heads, they will definitely need to keep track of everything we buy. Don't you see what a great idea this is? :bounce: :puke: :wtf:

5. I believe that this is more a desire of the banks
Visas are generally referred to as "bank cards"

7. What happens to people with bad credit?
No purchasing power whatsoever?

Bad credit can now affect hiring/firing which impacts their ability to ever rectify the situation. This "cashless society" idea is much more chilling in its implications.

8. Yep, it's heading towards the mark of the beast
But do we really have to do what the credit card companies and the banks and 'powers that be' want us to do? Do we have to go down that path that they're trying to lead us on? Or are we still 'free to choose' and we can reject 'playing their games'?

9. We can refuse to go down the path, we can reject playing their games,
but most of us won't. If it 'saves' us 5 seconds in a checkout lane or allows us to keep our fat asses planted in the car seat rather than exerting ourselves, we will always take the easy way out.
