And I mean that quite literally. I'm thinking of the Commissioners on the 9/11 Commission. They have become the bastard sons and one daughter of a Republican Administration, with the requisite token Democrats. Just think of the enormous political pressure that is leaning on these people. Never mind 100% of each of their attention and concentration that is being required of each of them as any sort of patriotic sensibility would demand but you just have to know they have every wing-nut wannabe right up to the Chimp himself breathing down their collective necks. I do not envy those poor bastard children of a nation that will never be thankful to them no matter how their final report comes out.

the only way I'll feel sorry for them is if they issue a comprehensive and honest report (unlikely) and thus have to suffer BushCo wrath . . . from what I can see, they're puppets whose sole goal is to produce a unanimous report that supports the "official story" as the true one . . .
