5. That's right, as a candidate for President he is running against
both of them. There should be no expectation that he would see the light now and do the right thing.

10. I thought they cancelled because Bush is giving a speech?
Bush supporters just love Nader. I bet they donate some money to his campaign to make sure Bush gets elected. I wonder if there are some Republican volunteers, pretending to be Nader volunteers, trying to sign as many people up as possible for Nader so he gets on the ballots. That would be something College Republicans would do.

11. Nader is one of the smartest and most effective debaters
I've ever seen. He always...I mean ALWAYS...schools when he goes on Crossfire. Those guys know that they don't have a chance against him.

The truth is that his concerns are entirely correct. You don't like his politics, fine, but what he's saying is dead-on.

Why doesn't Kerry just take his platform, too?

14. "Why doesn't Kerry just take his platform, too?"
unfortunately, cause he'd NEVER get the support of the DLC, and other DINOs that have taken over the party

it's REALLY a sad spectacle......I saw the exchange, and you're absolutely correct: Nader has the dems by the shorties on the issues, and Kerry is WAY too RW for me.....the laughable thing is he's afraid to don the mantle of liberal, when he doesn't even merit it on many issues

ook, monkeyboy is on now.....time to take a dumper

18. I feel the same
I don't want him to take votes away from Kerry. But I am very happy that he's meeting with Kerry and Dean. I feel very confident that he'll energize them and I hope n' pray that the Dems will come to a meeting of the minds with Nader. Talking poop about Nader is like talking poop about Kucimich. These two guys are so on the right side of issues, IMO, and have so much to teach the Dem Party.

ugh - the chimp is now speaking: oooh-oooh-oooh
reading from his notes, how damned pathetic.

33. Kucinich isn't running as an independent
with the potential to cost Kerry the election. To me, that's a hell of a difference. I couldn't care less about what Nader says about issues because nothing is more important to me than defeating Bush. Absolutely nothing.

politics.

36. You're right about Bush
Remember, the GOP is overwhelmingly conservative, with some moderates sprinkled in. The Dem Party is made up of liberals, moderates and even conservatives. Bush being so RW is a liability, though, because many polls show him losing independents to Kerry by a sizable margin. He lost indys by 2 points to Gore in 2000. If that margin increases substantially, Bush is gone.

38. The Truth Hurts...
Nader was speaking the truth. As Democrats, we need to open our eyes and see the truth. Let's not go through this campaign in a state of denial...like the Repukes do. They blindly line up behind Bushy-pooh no matter what he says and does.

Okay, what Nader says can anger all of us, but let's learn from it. He may not have a snowball's chance to win; but he is very smart and what he says is true.

I think he sometimes wants to be part of the Democratic Party, but we need to return to the PEOPLE before he does.

I just don't want to see another disaster like the 2002 midterms. Democrats were a bunch of wimps in that whole thing. We bowed down to Bushy-pooh. It's a different time now, and WE ARE PISSED OFF!

Why is it that more than 44 million (it's actually more than that, I believe) Americans don't have adequate health insurance when ALL Iraqis do? Why do we put up with Bushy-pooh's constant backtracking? Why? Why? Why? Let's throw these questions right in Bush's face!!

And you know what? I'm a LIBERAL...and damn proud of it!!

explained how anyone who opposes bush would benefit by voting for him. He has either lied or proven himself to be pathetically misinformed when he claims he will take republican votes from bush. I still admire the things he did years ago, but I am disgusted by what he is doing now.

National Security Advisors have testified 20 times, this is not unprecedented.

In exchange for doing the obvious, he gets to go before the commission in tandem with Cheney, no oath, no transcript.

Oh, and the commission has agreed that it can NEVER call them to testify under oath.

THIS IS FUCKED.

24. The man may be right as rain--but when he helps re-elect Bush
he does our country the greatest disservice an American can do. He more than anyone knows that in the flawed system that is the American presidential election process, a third party can never win--it can only make someone else lose.

I don't care what his "message" is--the end result is four more FLIPPING years, folks.

For that he will always live in infamy, and this is from a guy who volunteered to work for his "Nader's Raiders" organization in college.

he will do to help make that happen. Just simply. Not down the road somewhere, I understand the long term socialist approach to corporatism, which I support, but, if you're going to help sendBusboyhome, it has to happen in November, 2004.....or not.

34. Nader is a snake.
He wants to be a hero to the young people who roused the conscience of this nation with their beautiful efforts with the Dean campaign. But his effort to be at the center of attention may well result in bush being elected in November. That in turn will lead to more warfare, which translates directly into the death of those same young people who will be drafted to fight these bush wars. I think that it is sad that Ralph has become one of the lowest turds in American politics.

IF he would bash the hell of Bush-boy for the next 7 months (put that GOP donor money to good use!), drop out in October, and immediately afterwards endorse JFK.

...or he could do all of that NOW and be a SUPERHERO!
