I've been running some dry ideas on Kerry Ads against Bush
Anyone have any suggestions?

The one idea I have is as follows:

Moderator: (Bush in his own words) "These weapons of mass destruction are everywhere, 25,000 liters of anthrax," etc. etc

Picture: Flag-draped coffins of American soldiers moving in straight line from the horizon, sounds of drum beats, silence.

(Bush in his own words) "When I'm president I will bring this country together" words to that effect, etc.

Picture: Demonstrations, here and abroad. divisive issues

(Bush in his own words) "I'm for a balanced budget" etc.

Caption (silence) then the number in (bold) 540,000,0000,000 our national deficit.

Moderator: Are we headed in the right direction?

side note: most Americans feel we are not.

1. Add in...
That little bit about him joking about the WMD after the first Bush quote, perhaps. But I like it :)

2. here's mine...
B&W.... Grainy picture of a little kid standing on the sidewalk pointing and yelling "liar, liar pants on fire!"
Over and over until he's (or she) is hoarse, crying snot the whole works.

Pan out.... he's outside the gates of the whitehouse.

Mom says "come on, let's go"
She takes his hand and they walk off....
in the parting shot under her other arm viewers see a US flag folded into that Oh, so familiar triangle.

4. One I'd like to see
Images of graphs, headlines, facts & figures on rising debt, deficit spending, unemployment, death toll in Iraq, etc.

Voice over: The Chimp saying, "There's an old saying in Texas.. Fool me once, shame on.... shame on...you.." etc...

5. I'd cut the bit about the Protesters
Or, preferably, find some other way to show divisiveness; possibly newspapers?

Comparing Protesters to the President will often make the President look more responsible in comparison. I'm not saying it should (it shouldn't) i'm just saying it will.

6. I'm not an artist, but something I'd like to see ...
a clip of Bush after 9-11, swearing to 'hunt down' Bin Laden and then the clip (video available on whitehouse web site) of the March 2002 press conference with him saying..."I don't know where he is and it's not much of a concern to me".

7. Take command of the flip-flop issue.
first we had to give the surplus to the rich rather than pay our debts.
Next we had to give our tax dollars to rich because the economy was going down.
Then we had to give our Social Security dollars to the rich because we were in recession.
Now Bush wants us to give our nation's credit card to the rich so the economy will lie under a pile of good statistics.

Static ideas in dynamic times?

Instead we need dynamic leadership, we need someone who investigates and then acts on behalf of hard-working Americans, we need a real fighter to pilot us through tough times -- we need John Kerry, now more than ever.

8. Just show a clip of him joking about the missing WMD's - with Shock and
Awe raging in full fury beside it on a split screen - then show his bravado "Bring 'em on" - with a clip of dead American soldiers, dead Iraqi children, American soldiers amputees, a clip of the world-wide record 15 million anti-Bush protestors, a chart showing how Bush took the biggest SURPLUS in U.S. history and managed to turn it into the biggest DEFICIT, a clip oF Richard Clark, Paul O'Neil's "blind man in a room full of deaf people" description of Bushler - cutting to the video of the brave War Chimp as the 9-11 news was whispered into his ear - without asking a word or uttering a single order - and bravely sat in a classroom of children - with a goat story - while the WTC - and many of its occupants - were being reduced to ashes! Closing with the Time Magazine (Newsweek?) cover of the burning Trade Centers - with the large bolded caption "WHAT BUSH KNEW".

That should do it!
