paranoia in the 'hood

beautiful day so i was sitting out front when a neighbor whom i hadn't seen in a while walked by. we got to talking, and i had felt previously we were on a similar wave-length, so i threw in at an appropriate point in the conversation and in a light-hearted mode something like - sheesh, hope we make it to the election! Well, he jumped right on in there and took off: "i'm a dem but i tell ya i've gotta back up this bush - he's doing a great job. keeping it over there so it doesn't come here, yadda yadda." he then tells me he's been taking almost daily tests with the coast guard (he was in it for life, retired now) and is now an official member of the homeland security team, and he "watches everything...." well, my car's all plastered up with clark, kerry, dem-type message stickers - wonder if he'll report me to asscroft! Ewwwww, i feel so - invaded where i live.....
