Apocalyptic Vision
Some say the New Deal did not end the Great Depression; World War II did. If that's the case, we're really unprepared for an economic catastrophe like it. In the Book of Revelations, economic collapse is the third horseman of the Apocalypse. The Book of Revelations isn't necessarily the end of the world - it might be only the apostle John's vision of the hard times that befall societies.

Bush's economic policies are moving us closer to collapse. Suppose foreign capital invests in Euros instead of the dollar? An apocalyptic vision motivates the rise of fundamentalism throughout the world. Religion is becoming a major preoccupation, written about in popular magazines. Bush calls himself born again, awaiting the day when God will summon Christians into Heaven.

The mathematics of catastrophe theory explain how situations progress smoothly until they reach a point where some dramatic state change takes place. If World War II ended the Great Depression, how will we end the next one?

5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

Revelation 6: 5-6

1. I went to an economic conference in December. They said
that there are between 160-180 countries around the world. 140 of them are on the economic brink of disaster. The US military is in a large amount of countries. I had heard around 120. Add peak oil to that mess and things don't look good. I had read the first book from the Return Series. They believe that once Jesus returns and takes the good people, he'll fix everything else - the environment, economy. So it doesn't make any difference if the environment gets totaled, economies fall, the world collapses. Jesus will be thankful to Bushco for slaughtering all those people to set up for their interpretation of the Bible for the end of times.

3. And the coming environmental catastrophes will only encourage them.
They will say God made the poles melt, not Exxon. God made the drought that killed millions because they didn't accept him. God made the plague that wiped out millions because they weren't born again.

Are you asking if another big war would end the next Depression? I don't see how that would solve anything monetarily. China and Japan OWN the USA right now and if we fire the first shot in another war, I'm pretty sure we'll get our asses kicked by everyone else in the world, in one way or another.

If you mean the big BIG BIG war as in all out nuclear war, only the cockaroaches and ants will survive that one and they don't follow the markets.
