Is Kerry smart not to take up a position on the Clarke revelation?
Other than going after Bush for launching a character assassination of Clarke, Kerry has stayed above the fray. Which is a pretty smart move I think. How about you?

1. I say it's a smart move.
Let Bush and Company wallow in the mud and name calling. It's an excellent opportunity for Kerry to step up and talk about his plan for America and let the idiots in D.C. sling mud at each other.

2. It takes away the 'this is just a partisan attack' angle
Once the attack wave has blown over a bit, expect Kerry to give a position.

4. Definitely smart!
He should let the Bush administration destroy itself and not give them any opportunity to argue that this is all partisan politics.

8. five whores just agreed with you
David Gregwhory, Gloria Whorger, Kathouse Kay, Tuckwhore Carlson, and the biggest whore of all, tweety ho, all concurred that the BEST thing Kerry can do is stay out of that as long as possible

they said it's OK to talk about Clarke's other point.....Iraq screwing up the war on terra, though

HERE's some REAL, downtown whoredom, though:

they showed condi, saying that crap about nobody thinking planes would slam into the WTC, etc., and saying how EFFECTIVE that was!!!!

THEN

THEN.........NOBODY Mentioned that she went to the 911 commission to TAKE THAT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nobody mentioned it. can you fricking believe it?

even subhuman ho Margaret Carlson mentioned it last night on Capgang, but not these particular, hardsucking hoes

sorry, this has got me FYOOOOOOORIOUS!

6. It's the smart play.
Richard Clarke does not seem to need the help. Look at all the shills coming out to save Bush.

21. Cool!
I'm a retired ship's engineer (mostly steam, some diesel). But I'm kinda crazed about gas turbines.

7. Kerry should cancel Christmas this year
Edited on Sun Mar-28-04 12:35 PM by rocknation
because he's already gotten his present. Bush can't call Kerry "soft on defense" anymore--unless he wants to be called either incompetent or a self-serving lying traitor!

9. Kerry is being very smart about Clarke
Clarke having his own say and staring down the * WH on his own adds to the credibility of his own story. It makes the WH respond to the information rather than just pointing fingers at us Dems for election year politics.

11. So far yes, but now he can do something to do after MTP!!
In MTP, Clarke asked for 'disclassifying all relevant documents', not just what Clarke said. He also asked for 'declassifying all of his e-mails and response with WH high officials, not just selectively release his e-mail.

This is the angle now Kerry and Democrate should go after. The beauty of this is the person who started it was not Clarke but that idiot Frist!!

12. Clarke also said
that he would not accept a "position with the Kerry campaign" (or was it with the Kerry administration?)

Beyond lending personal support to Clarke, Kerry would open himself up to accusations of "partisan collusion" with Clarke should he say anything more.

13. He said...
"Since I am under oath, let me say that I will not accept a position in a Kerry adminstration, should there be one". Very diplomatic.

14. Kerry is a Pro, and is Being Cautious --
that's a winning strategy for the Dems this year. Just let the Bush administration implode on its own.

15. well, yeah, he wants more info before making claims
nobody is really making final conclusions yet because we don't have all the info.richard clarke himself said the bush administration didn't lie. but we have enough and the fact that the bush people are delaying and avoiding cooperation on these issues says a lot also.

17. No need for Kerry to say or do anything
until the media start to loose interest in Clarke, then he can first try surrogates attacking Bush's every moved based on Clarke, and if necessary coming out after Bush directly.

Hell, if I were in Kerry's campaign, I'd have him stay out of it until the debates, and try to launch it some in some unforseen way to catch * stuttering and stupid.

18. Absolutely correct
He does not need to enter the fray - - - YET. This is like a round of amunition that should be kept for later use when this all dies down. Then Kerry can subtly slip in all the points Richard is now making later in the campaign around August and September while he reminds the American public that bu$h and Cheney were on vacation from August 4th 2001 to September 4th 2001 returning just days before 9/11. They were not paying attention to terrorism - that is obvious.....

20. YES, absoultely..the GOP WANTS to politicize this.
Thats part of their takedown strategy agains Clarke.

For the Dems to jump into this would be playing into their hands.
