Another translator, Peter Molan, tells his story of "twisted intel".
Here is another translator who we may want to testify before the Commission.

Another official whistleblower on Iraq, Army Intelligence Officer.: <http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=03/11/11/157236>

Veteran Pentagon Middle East analyst Peter Molan speaks out on the invasion of Iraq, his work on the 9/11 investigation and why he is protesting in front of Walter Reed Medical Center today.

Peter Molan, Department of Defense Middle East analyst for 25 years. He began his military career with the US Army in the Middle East during the 1967 Arab-Israeli War. Went on to work at the Department of Defense until August 2001, when he retired. After the 9-11 attacks, he was recalled to duty because he speaks fluent Arabic. He was one of the people working on the bin Laden dossier for the Pentagon.

TRANSCRIPT

AMY GOODMAN: Veterans' groups are holding a vigil today outside Walter Reed Medical Center. Among them, vets of the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War and other wars and conflicts. Their protest comes as reports are emerging that several thousand U.S. soldiers have been wounded and are being treated at a single military hospital in Germany.

Peter Molan is on the line with us now. He was a Department of Defense Middle East analyst for 25 years. He began his military career with the U.S. Army in the Middle East during the 1967 Arab/Israeli war. He then left the military, but came back to work at the Pentagon until August, 2001, when he retired. After the 9-11 attacks, he was recalled to duty because he speaks fluent Arabic. He was one of the people working on the Bin Laden case for the Pentagon. But today he stands in front of Walter Reed Medical Center. Welcome to Democracy Now!, Peter Molan.

My notes: Molan, like Sibel Edmonds, was a translator He is interviewed by AMY Goodman of democracy now at the DU link above: "Nothing but poisoned plants can grow from poisoned seed.........." . He says "intel twisted". At about 10 minutes into the interview he said that the Sudaneze offered to turn Bin Laden over and the US turned the offer down!!!! Talks about FBI terrorism investigator John O'Neill.

1. I had a problem with the links at the bottom.
Here's one that'll give both download speeds as well as a printer-friendly transcript: http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=03/11/11/157236&mode=thread&tid=25

2. Sudaneze
Wasn't this offer really made to the Saudis?

3. That is "Sudanese", my bad.
I don't know. I'd like to know all about this little episode. You never know what might kick loose from re-hashing this.

4. The Sudanese story has been debunked
In the Washington Times, no less. But to avoid giving them the click, I'll link to Bartcop's copy of the op/ed:

http://www.bartcop.com/clinton-terrorism-truth.htm

Old, anti-Clinton propaganda, not relevant to Clarke's charges.

7. I wouldn't dismiss this out of hand
First, Mr. Miniter recycles old, false Sudanese claims that the
Clinton White House declined access to Sudan's intelligence files on
al Qaeda and that an unnamed CIA official declined an offer from Sudan
in 1996 to turn Osama bin Laden over to the United States.

This same CIA fed false info to the military in the Balkans conflict and the US blew up the Chinese Embassy.

Molan could be somebody worth interviewing again. I'm interested in his claim that "intel was twisted".

10. Clarke also discusses this in his book
and also debunks it.

5. Wasn't the Sudanese offer made before we had a criminal case
on OBL? I seem to recall that Clinton had no legal basis to accept OBL at that time. Is this what your bold remarks refer to?

6. That could be. Molan emphasizes this
in his interview without explanation. What doesn't make sense is that we tried to bomb Al Qaeda in Sudan and hit the hospital. Seems if we were lobbing missiles at him the criminal case had been made. But then Molan doesn't give a time frame.

8. Does anyone else remember the large amount of "retirements" of
senior military, intelligence and FBI officials that happened after George W. Bush's administration was installed, but before 9/11?
This translator is but one of those folks imo. A loyal to our Constitution American speaking out truthfully.

I believe there was a putsch of sorts, brought about by the neo-conservative traitors and their allies, it was necessary to place their RW politicized treasonous team players in command and control positions to enable PNAC.

Does that sound reasonable today, or am I just nuts?

9. Not nuts at all.
One only has to look at the Meyers, Eberhardts, and Franks that work hand in glove with the neo-cons to bear this out.

One reason I hope Kerry chooses Clark is the pressing need to get the modern day Curtis LeMay's out of the Pentagon. I think he is in the best position to correct this drift to the Right. They present a greater danger to the world today than any other group.
