I got a letter from the RNC today-boy, have they ever made a boo-boo!
I have never joined any political party, I'm an independent-but I've done a lot of things for both Democratic and independent progressive candidates and issues since the 1960's.

The RNC mailing must be based upon voter registration records or is a prank of some sort. It is a legitimate letter from them though.

The two page cover letter begins:
"Dear Fellow Republican,

You are among a select group of Republicans who have been chosen to take part in the official CENSUS OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

Enclosed is your GOP CENSUS DOCUMENT which was assigned and prepared especially for you as a representative of all Republicans living in your voting district.

Registration #: 1609-V2004FL
Voting District Code: ID59-17

Your answers will be used to develop a BLUEPRINT for the Republican Party for the next 10 years.

...your answers will represent the views and opinions of all Republican voters living in your voting district."

LOL! Ok, fuckers I'll do that-I'll respond.
No donations ever from this anti-fascist, but I will complete their REPUBLICAN PARTY CENSUS DOCUMENT by answering No to all the questions.

Now I ask fellow DUer's for some creative ideas for a letter to be sent to the RNC along with their CENSUS-they will think it comes from one of them!

Please give me some ideas for that letter.
Don't forget they want to use it for a blueprint for the Republican:puke: Party for the next ten years!

9. I'm a true progressive independent since 1965 when I became
politically aware. I live in Wisconsin, which has a great tradition of that.
When I was a kid growing up in Milwaukee, we had a great Socialist Mayor Frank Zeidler.
I've been active in organized labor, civil rights, peace movements, etc.
I'm a Kucinich guy.

21. Oh, no question
Not doubting you. Just saying that the letter seems geared toward the voter that doesn't claim a political party and may not be so knowledgeable. Hence the repetitive, "You are a Republican."

8. For the sake of our democracy...
please tell them that, as a republican, you will be forced to switch parties if they continue to kowtow to the reactionary right wing.

I don't want republicans to win, but more than that, I don't want to lose my country to the Tali-born-agains.

10. Go to your closest copy center and
make enough copies to send each one of us at least 10, maybe 20 copies, then let's all get busy giving them ideas on how to straighten up their agenda!

Heck, I've plenty of time on my hands, send me a couple hundred copies.

Seriously, maybe you can scan and email us a copy of it and then we can make as many copies as we want to "answer".

Heehehheeehhhheeeeee!

15. On second thought,
I just calculated the cost of postage--I think I'd be better off donating that money to John Kerry instead of wasting it on repugs, even though it would be fun to flood them with their census forms.

16. Here is the very first question of the CENSUS DOCUMENT
QUESTIONAIRE:
"1. Do you support President Bush's initiatives to promote the safety and security of all Americans? Yes/No/Undecided"

And the first question posed in the cover letter is:
"Should we defend our nation against nuclear missile attack by building President Reagan's SDI defense?"

One of the scariest questions on the questionaire is the second one:
"Do you support the use of air strikes against any country that offers safe harbor or aid to individuals or organizations committed to further attacks on America?"

Then there's this one:
"Do you support President Bush's initiative to allow private religious and charitable groups to do more to help those in need?"

Bomb England for permitting the Guardian to publish its "attacks on America?"

19. Scan and post that bad boy
And then we will flood them with replies.

Seriously folks, we should take over the Republican party.
It would not be too difficult, since we outnumber them.

A bunch of guys pulled off something like that once, down in the US Virgin Islands. They all belonged to a political party that I think was called the United Party, or something to that effect. They had little to no money but they knew good and well that registered Republicans and registered democrats could get funds from the National HQ. So early one morning they rose and with one accord went and registered themselves as Democrats (since they all had souls.)
Next thing you know the Dem HQ is suing them and calling them Unicrats as opposed to Dems. And then after that, things REALLY got interesting.

They say that if you cannot beat them you should join them.
Just think people, if a group larger than that comprised of the little piddly ditto-heads showed up, and voted in unison, we could totally derail their agenda, from the inside. And then after doing so, we could then revert back to type and there would no longer be a Repugnant party.

Oh, wishful thinking perhaps, but so far that is still legal.
And I still think we can beat them at their own game.

22. LOL you aren't alone
First I received a membership card to the re:puke: party.

Next I got pretty much the same letter as you, but in mine they included a picture of the chimp and pickles. :wtf:

After I finished :puke:ing, I had to laugh.

I'm 48 years old and have been a registered Democrat since I was old enough to vote.

Never, ever have I had any dealings with the rw enemy. It just goes to show how desperate the wingers are.

They know they are losing their base. They'll do ANYTHING to retain power.

Kinda stupid if you ask me. Idiots.

23. I've heard from a lot of Dems getting this repuke crap in the mail...
thanking them for their donations. My dad got a photo in the mail of President Pantswetter and Pickles and he's been a registered Dem for 40 years.

I'm strongly suspect that individual repugs are making these donations "disguised" as their next door neighbors, so that they may circumvent the laws that restrict personal donations to candidates.

I would advise forwarding any of this garbage to the Federal Election Commission and maybe copy your Senator/Congressman, with a letter demanding an investigation of what could be highly illegal.
