News this morning about 9/11 commision, has it changed your opinion?
Well, the consensus is no. The anti-bush camp is obviously still anti-bush, and the pro-bushies blame the Clinton administration and fault the intelligence agencies. Concerning Clarke, the pro camp dismisses him as a disgrruntled book promoter (the timing is "peculilar". This was the response in "man on the street" interviews.
I swear, Kerry and Bush could shoot the other dead during a debate, and 50% would shout murderer and 50% would call hero.

1. It just reconfirms my opinion of the WH crew, which isn't very good.

6. It reconfirms my opinion of Bush supporters.
Idiots that would support a dictatorship, as long as it was a republican dictatorship. .

7. the timing
I love the complaint about the timing. The book was due to come out earlier, but all books by former employees go through a review process to make sure the book doens't release classified information. So the book came out now because it was just recently cleared by the review process! So it was the White House that determined the timing!! DOH!

9. I'm not seeing your "consensus"
Edited on Fri Mar-26-04 08:29 AM by gulliver
It looks to me like the Bushies are being savaged in the media. There are going to be fewer pro-Bushies in the next polls.

Arguing for political equivalence in this case is not "fencesitting."

10. That's no consensus, that's a few guys in KC
Hey,

I heard that segment on NPR this morning, and consider the reporter's conclusions to be totally unjustified. He went from a broad based statistic, that 90% of Americans knew who Clarke is and what he is saying about the administration, to interviews with a handful of individuals in Kansas City. Because none of the 4 or 5 people he interviewed had changed their minds about Bush, the reporter concluded that no one of the 200 million plus who had heard about Clarke had done so. Silly!
