Hardball slamming Bush for attempt at non-funny joke.
Howard Fineman ranting against Bush for his "attempted" jokes about not finding WMD's in last night fund raiser.

Howard said it ws very bad. Relatives and friends of 911 victims find nothing funny in this kind of humor and it was another big mistake for Bush! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

2. Way to go, W!
Keep it up! We're rooting for your self-destruction, we know you're probably tired -- you never held a job this long before! It's hard! Don't you want to go home?

3. The guy is not the King of Comedic Timing, that's for sure.
Did anyone in his staff even make him aware that Richard Clarke had testified that very freaking day???

Wouldn't a good-puppy adviser pull the plug on the cutesy-WMD jokes, in favor of a light hearted Pickles or Pretzels joke?

Who the hell is in charge over there?

10. People may mistake it..
for naivete or stupidity. In my opinion, it's pure arrogance. This administration beliieves they can do as they please and never have to pay any consequences.

5. What was the joke?
I missed it.

Matthews said he wondered if the wounded soldiers he visited last week with head injuries and missing limbs would find it funny.

Kristen Brittweiser on now talking about Condi's no-show.

8. It was last night...
Bush was attempting to make humorous captions from various photos he had on a the projector screen. One had (I believe) him looking under his desk in the Oval Office and with it he said "those WMD must be somewhere!"

asshole.

7. Why I hate Bush
I'm just getting ready to write an article on my web site about this. How dare this fucking coward of a president make a fucking joke about Iraq and the hunt for weapons of mass destruction. We've had hundreds of American and coalition forces die, thousands injured, not to mention the thousands of Iraqis that have died because of our hunt for WMDs, and Bush wants to show a slide of him looking under a desk saying "Those weapons of mass destruction have got to be somewhere" for laughs at a beltway dinner. Fuck him. He should get his ass over to Dover air base and watch the coffins come in from Iraq and see how "funny" it is. Asshole.

12. Perhaps he should
go over to Iraq to look for those WMDs. I think that would be hilarious if he actually went to the place where he SAID WMDs were, and look for them there. I bet he'd really have some fun if he was over there dodging missiles while he searched.

Cowardly pile of shit that he is thinks it's funny to clown around in his safe, secure Oval Office.

(I hope someone can use this in wider distribution--DU is my only outlet--I give permission to anyone to run with this if they want and if they haven't already had this thought.)

Obviously, they knew these clips would be aired.
Presumably it was Rove's attempt to make the continuing questions about WMD appear foolish. Can we say BACKFIRE!

16. What is the message to troops?
The troops are suffering in Iraq and the ONLY thing keeping them going is their faith in bush and devotion to country. They HONESTLY BELIEVE they are fighting for Ameica's safety.

Enter George Bush and his arrogant, disrespectful remarks. He mocks all that is sacred in America!
