Damn, talk about shaking a hornet's nest...
Edited on Thu Mar-25-04 05:28 PM by devrc243
Robert Novack's veins are about to pop out of his head...talking about the Clarke testimony and saying that he (Clarke) contradicted his statements about Bush when he sent Bush a nice resignation letter. Give me a break Novack. Sending a polite resignation letter is the PROFESSIONAL thing to do, something you know NOTHING about.

The Republicans just don't like it when their "whittle world," stops spinning. It's like taking a bottle from a baby--talk about whining and crying and belly-aching. Guess they think their the only bullies on the playground--not.

Anybody else see Crossfire?

2. they know
they have nothing. That's why they are rushing around trying to do "damage control." The best they have is to slander and slash someone's character. That's ALL they have.

8. And I guarantee you they recorded Clarke's words on
60 Minutes, NewsHour, 9/11 Hearings and Larry King word for word to try and find SOMETHING to discredit him.

Nofacts was shaking looking like he was going about to implode. Carville was ripping some good ones into Bush & Co. I can't wait for the day when old Bob is led away in handcuffs. :)

6. Only an idiot
...burns bridges with a resignation letter. (Of course, Clarke has burned some bridges now! But that's beside the point.)

And Novak must think his viewers are idiots to point to Clarke's resignation letter as any kind of meaningful evidence.

Then again, Novak is the idiot who leaked Valerie Plame's identity to the world, so I guess we shouldn't expect him to display good judgment now.

7. Surfing
I was surfing and caught him talking (yelling) at the guest for the little bit I watched. I really can't take Novak and believe he should be investigated for the CIA leak. Until that is cleared up I really believe that CNN should sideline him completely. But, now that you mention it he did look pretty rough. I suppose it would be possible that he should calm down a bit for his health.......

9. The only worry I have is whether we can keep this up for 8 months.
I think it's absolutely wonderful that we have them back on their heels like this!

At some point, if it keeps up, it will sink in with the GP.

More scandals and investigations against the house of bush. There's the medicaid money fraud, Halliburton bushcos skimming the Iraq food for oil program, buscos allowed BinLadens to fly on 911 when our people were killed by a BinLaden, Tom theRoach Delay crimminal investigation, Cheney's many criminal investigations, Neil bush crimminal investigation, ExMrs. Neil Bush new book to come out....etc. etc. House of bush will be flushed in 2004.

16. The Smell of Fear
They are terrified. That is why the monkey's have been loosed from the wicked witch's castle.

The WH had three months to comb this book for inaccuracies. I'm sure the publisher has gone over it with a fine tooth comb as well.

They best just shut the pie holes and let this die down before they embarrass themselves further.

25. That's GOP racism at its finest.
They really don't get what it reveals about them.

Democrats oppose a candidate or official on substantive grounds (his/her voting or judicial record, statements, writings, political activity). They say nothing about the candidate's sex, religion, or ethnicity.

Republicans then accuse Democrats of opposing the candidate or official on the basis of sex, religion, or ethnicity. Apparent rationale: we can't make bad choices; therefore, you oppose the candidate for reasons of bias. Logical fallacy noted.

It is beyond cynical that Republicans appear to choose candidates with this racism/bias argument in mind, as an attempt at inoculating candidates from scrutiny. It shows that they either don't get what racism (or other prejudice) actually IS, or that they are willing to use race (sex, religion) as a ploy to muddy serious debate. Or both. And even though they don't get much traction with it, they keep trying it on.
