Do You Remember bush* EVER Mentioning OBL/Al-Qaida before 9/11??
me either. I have been thinking about this for days now, how easy it is to prove their lies about being at " battle stations"
pre-9/11!... Now here is a contest brought to your attention courtesy of James Carville on Crossfire...

CONTEST
Beat the Progress Report

Yesterday, on Hannity and Colmes, National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice said "the assertion that somehow the Bush administration wasn't paying attention when we came into office is just false." But, despite Rice's comments, we were unable to find a single instance where Rice, Vice President Cheney or President Bush said "al Qaeda" or "bin Laden" in public between Bush Inauguration and 9/11. (The closest thing we could dig up – despite extensive searches on Nexis and the White House website – was a routine written extension of an executive order dealing with the Taliban.) During the same period, however, we were able to identify roughly 400 times that Rice, Cheney and Bush publicly mentioned "tax relief" or "tax cut." Prove you're better than the Progress Report! Send any instance of Rice, Cheney or Bush uttering the words "al Qaeda" or "bin Laden" in public between 1/20/01 and 9/10/01 to pr@americanprogress.org. The first person to submit a successful entry (which we can verify) will receive a free copy of "Deliver Us From Evil" by Fox News Anchor Sean Hannity signed by the members of the Progress Report team.

3. Nope
They were at "battle stations" to wage war on ordinary working Americans and on Saddam Hussein, not on OBL.

4. Furthermore - after OBL escaped from Tora Bora
"OBL" disappeared from the Chimp's vocabulary for nearly 2 years.

Not one mention in any SOTUS after that I believe...

So much for "smoke 'em out" etc.

12. Lots of talk of "The First Gulf War" pre-Sept 11
Was it just me, or did anyone else think that calling "The Gulf War" (George HW Bush's leadership of a coalition against Iraq in '90-'91 because of the Iraqi invasion and attempted annexion of Kuwait) from 1999 onwards "The First Gulf War" a little weird, or perhaps even a little revealing about what was going to take place?

"The First Gulf War" terminology was used everywhere in the media and popular parlance. Long before His Chimperial Majesty's plan to attack Iraq again became public in post-Sept 11 2001.

This term was bandied about so casually that it seemed inevitable, the most natural thing in the world, for the US to make war against Iraq again.
