Do we really need fifty threads on the same subject?
- Those of you who like to post a thread every time you have a new thought...how about showing a little courtesy for the board and the load on the server by posting to existing threads on the same subject?

- Try it. It's not that difficult.

4. I wonder -
considering the load factor - if it might not be lighter with multiple postings? If a large file is retrieved, it would certainly make a greater load than with a small file. And even numerous retrievals of small files might be less of a load than a very large file.

Or maybe not.

6. Never specify the # of replications in the title
Didn't you see what happened to KoKo's colonoscopy earlier?

And she only mentioned 1 rectal exam, but it was re-posted 10 times. That was terribly silly.

As Ari used to say "Watch what ou say..." :)

10. I partly agree I did this when I was a newbie here
I think two posts in the GD is enough, if not you push back some great posts. I try to post something that will draw at least 10 replies out of courtesy to the board.

all the candidate threads moved to the Politics & Campaigns forum, too.

Edit: There are currently ELEVEN Dean threads on GD's first page. I saw one Gore thread, one Lieberman thread, one Kucinich thread (actually, it was "Why do you like Dean more than Kucinich?")

We don't need eleven Dean threads. We don't even need eleven Kucinich threads. :7
