Fox News Openly lying about what Clarke said at hearing yesterday
This is what Fox News reports.

"You've got a real credibility problem," John Lehman, former Navy secretary under President Reagan, told Clarke, calling the witness "an active partisan selling a book."

Clarke responded: "I don't think it's a question of morality at all, I think it's a question of politics."

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,115045,00.html

This the exchange where Clarke actually said the above. There is a more official transcript out there but, I went with this story because it contained the actual recount of the events.

"There's a very fine line that anyone who's been in the White House, in any administration, can tell you about," Clarke replied. Someone in his position had three choices. He could have resigned, but he had important work yet to do. He could have lied, but nobody told him to do that, and he wouldn't have in any case. "The third choice," he said, "is to put the best face you can for the administration on the facts. That's what I did."

Well, Thompson asked in a bruised tone, is there one set of moral rules for special assistants to the White House and another set for everybody else?

"It's not a question of morality at all," Clarke replied. "It's a question of politics."

1. They know their audience only watches them, remaining ignorant of
all truth.

3. They have called into c-span and done the same.
People hear what they want to hear. Try to tell someone in that party that the Bush family were not for womens rights before father got on Reagan ticket. They will say you lie.

5. Welcome MSgt213
Faux audience is repulsed by Richard Clarke. He is an honest man of integrity. Something today's conservatives cannot tolerate; because honest men dare tell the truth about george bush.

I'm just across the state line in Pearl River County. Howdy neighbor.

7. I called "State Television" yesterday
to complain about them muddying up the procedures of the 9/11 commission. I left 2 messages that were not flattering and also emailed them 3 times.

I think even the average joe can see what they are all about.

Also, i heard somewhere that leaking that memo was unethical. But what else is new under this white house!

10. Kill The Messenger Ain't Gonna Work
Yep, the Faux morans will eat up all this "they hate Bush" crap that is fed to them...and the distortions...but this is a fringe of the media audience and far overblown IMHO.

Remember, Faux isn't the #1 news network, it's only #1 in a couple of dayparts (totalling evening hours 8-11pm)...the rest of the time it's a poor second or third...and it's audience is a fraction of an ESPN or MTV. Personally, I love the venom I see on Faux...especially Hannity (anyone up to guessing when he'll blow a vessel...LOL) so I can get the direct Rove talking points.

Last night Tweety and Ron Reagan, Jr. (I'm liking him more and more) took Terry Holt, Bushbot spokesslime, apart on how this regime attacks "Soviet style" in demonizing anyone who crosses it. Tweety even shoved how talking points work right in Holt's face (it was priceless) when Holt tried to spin away...some of the best video bitchslapping I've seen in a while.

People are getting wise to how this regime is "less than honest" and definitely shirks responsibility. The more Faux goes to the hard right (and I sure hope they do during this election) the more those "assets" are amplified.

The good thing is these goons are so arrogant and ignorant, they show us their cards daily...now our job is to shove them back at them in spades with the truth. Looks like that will trump all in the end.

Cheers!
