Where is the media ANALYSIS of Clarke's testimony?
One that is really bothering me about the media coverage of the 9/11 hearing is a genuine lack of any media analysis.

Outside of the print media, all we get is more of the same... Larry King posing, etc.

Remember when the used to hold hearings (like Iran/Contra) and people would carefully mull over the significance of the testimony.

Now, it's information overload. They run the feed live and leave it at that. This is okay if you have a communicator like Clarke, but after a few hours even my eyes can begin to glaze over.

It seems like the media has a real ALLERGY for the truth on this issue.

Otherwise, they would be screaming about what they heard...

I would like your comments as I am putting together an article for either DU and/or my website...

1. They are still trying to understand it because he didn't speak in GWB
sound bites it will take them a little more time then usual to figure out what the hell Clarke said.

2. I still think it's a conscious effort to stay away from actually
discussing the truth about 9/11

there are only 3 possibilities left now and ALL of them are extremely damaging to *

MIHOP
LIHOP
or Gross Incompetence

3. tv analysis has concentrated on his 'credibility, motivation'
did you see nightline?

despicable

they concentrated over 2/3 of their show on that, and interspersed the rest with stuff like Chris Bury (what a twerp) saying "Clarke sang another tune," or something with those words in it, in reference to his alledged story changing

total, unadulterated BS, just as they cover the horse race, rather than issues in the campaigns themselves

6. As I said about the overload, they obviously didn't even watch
Clarke debunk his naysayers last night...

No doubt they showed NO CLIPS of that.

8. Newshour had some discussion . . .
I'm sure Shields and Brooks will talk about it Friday, as will Ifill on Washington Week.

There was some on NPR as well.

10. Just what does this have to do with the investigation of Clinton?!
I mean, isn't he still president?!

They keep mentioning him in every sentence!

Isn't this all about Clinton's failure to do what he should have on 911?

I mean, he WAS president then, right? right?

Sigh.
