3. I don't see that the admin has any real
choice if they want to keep Bush and Cheney directly off the firing line. There is too much visibility and there are too many questions to keep stonewalling completely.

4. I say "No"...
If she testifies, she either has to perjure herself or tell the whole damning truth. By not testifying, she and the WhoreHouse can at least TRY to spin * out of trouble even though she looks like the liar that she is in the process.

5. Subpoena is still an option
right? This would be an opportune time to use it.

Condi's already used her "lifeline"

14. Kean said that there isn't enough time for a subpoena
because it will be resisted and have to go through the courts. Sorry I can't remember where/when he said this, but recently.

7. Was'nt Clinton "forced" to testify about the blowjob?
If the bar was lowered for that then Condi should be forced to testify for lying and allowing 3000 citizens to die on US soil.

8. Don't think the National security adviser
Can be Subpoenaed to testify about matters pertaining to national security....That is the reason she was promoted to that position. Condi being "forced" to tell any truth at all would be a miracle equivalent to the immaculate conception.

10. It depends
On how long these hearings go on and the poll numbers.

If they can discredit Clarke enough and end the hearings fast enough (or something "conveniently" happens in the world to throw attention off) then, no, she won't testify. They will simply deny and smear....and then whip out the old election year "We need to focus on the future...and here is my plan blah blah blah".

BUT, if the Dems can keep the pressure on, thrown in some more good testimony, and drag it out a bit, I think the administration will make Condi take one for the team. She IS on record about a lot of this stuff....so she will have to take the hit. Then the others can just deny she never really told them anything,
