Anyone hear John King and Wolf "Tag Team" Clarke? Saying he

has "things in his past which are questionable," "unstable" "contentious"..."argumentaive," "questionable," "trying to make a few dollars off his book," "loses his temper," "personal life has some odd questions"....yadda, yadda, yadda.

They took turns. At one point King would pump Clarke up saying that people who worked with him praised him, and Wolfie would then do the "unstable" routine, then King would "tear Clarke down" mantioning "sources who say....(my above quotes), then Wolfie would say "respected by his peers, many years of service, glowing reports about his handling of..."

King would pump Clarke up, then Wolf would tear him down, then King would tear Clarke down and Wolfie would pump him up....but in the end the picture of Clarke which I as an average US viewer would have was..."This Clarke person sounds really weird, why should we believe him?" (which of course was the point of the whole exchange)

It was amazing! They went on for about 20 minutes like this. I was shocked because I've tended to like much of John King's reporting.

But, it's all Media Control by the Whores and part of "PsyOps" anyway.

Clarke will go down as "damaged goods." Wait and see...:-(

And he never mentioned that Clarke voted for Bush and considers his party affiliation to be Republican but we sure did hear all about Kerry/Beers/Clarke didn't we? I wrote about this on another thread, and it was a vile example of what passes as 'reporting' by CNN: repeating smears and RNC talking points without refuting them.

They repeated the partisan charge when they both know he's a Republican, but they never shared that fact. The 'personal life' attack was the lowest point in CNN's history.

But does anyone on the commission or in the media question Colin Powell's motives? He outright LIED to the world at the UN in his run-up to the illegal war. Why didn't asshole Lehman say to Powell, "you know, you gave false testimony at the UN a year ago. Why should we believe you?" Nope.

They all have ulterior motives for their lying testimony, principal of which are staying out of jail and/or being tried in the Hague for war crimes.

First of all, most people, other than info junkies could give a rat's ass what CNN thinks. They are worried about gas prices, interest rates, employment, family matters, and to a lessening degree terrorist attacks.

CNN, Fux, and the rest just want butts in the seats. They are all about hype, making you angry, stirring up the pot, selling soap.

All that is important is that the story stays in the news. The more often the 'meme' is repeated, the more it can replicate. This is like 10 million in free ads for Kerry. That is why he is keeping his mouth shut and watching the cabal twist on a noose of their own making.

This is all good. Clarke was magnificent today. Have a cocktail. It's a good week so far.

You have to keep things in perspective. Wolfie is an ULTRA Bush fan. The fact that he'd allow anything critical to be said about Bush at all is a big step. And the stuff King said...I beleive that was more of a response to Wolf when he asked about Condi being fuming. "Yes, the White House will tell you there are hings in his past which are questionable," etc.

I thought it was a surprisingly ominous report, coming from where it did.

A FORMER White House counter-terrorism chief has accused US President George W. Bush of undermining the war on terrorism by invading Iraq and not taking the al-Qaeda threat seriously enough before the September 11 attacks.

In stunning testimony to the official inquiry into the 2001 terror strikes, Richard Clarke, whose new book has angered the Bush administration, apologised to relatives of the September 11 victims saying that the US Government had failed them.

Clarke said Iraq was "the reason I am strident in criticism of the President of the United States."

"By invading Iraq, the President of the United States has greatly undermined the war on terrorism," he said, silencing the room.

Clarke, who quit his White House post last year and is now in the administration firing line over his book, reaffirmed accusations that Bush had underestimated the threat from Osama bin Laden's group.

20. Wolfowitz comes off looking really really bad in Clarke's book

no wonder he's leading the right wing slander machine. Clarke made the point that every time he mentioned al Qaeda in Wolfowitz's presence, Wolfie tried to turn the discussion towards Iraq, inspite of all the evidence that Clarke was presenting. It's as if Wolfie (and certain other right wingers) had blinders on and were hell bent on invading Iraq. 9-11 just gummed up their plans temporarily.

He said "by the end of the discussions, we were all in agreement". But when asked directly if Wolf.. was initially intent on going to Iraq, he said...you need that kind of input in a discussion.
