3. How can canadians make a "legal" contribution?

My understanding is that a donator must be an American citizen. In the short term I have donated to DU, Salon, and Air America. We (Canadians) do care and want to help (within legal boundaries).

Seriously though, I noticed that the MoveonPac site says you cannot be a foreign national.

I was at a Dean planning meeting months ago and some Dean supporters from the Buffalo, NY area were talking about carpooling to Ohio to do grassroots work in Ohio, because Ohio is a swing state and NY will go to the Dems. (They were presuming that they would be working for Dr. Dean, not John Kerry, so I hope they would still be as enthused.)

In my wildest righteous fantasies I imagine Canadians coming to Ohio, Michigan, New Hampshire or another possible swing state on the US border like Washington to do campaign work to knock Bush out.
