realize, a BACKGROUNDER is an UNATTARIBUTED interview, that pols give. he was DIRECTED to do so, and said that, of course, nobody doing one of those is going to CRITCIZE his boss.

Thompson, then, really stepped on his tiny, but fat, ween, by huffing about the "question of morality" in saying two such different things

After finishing one of his answers, Clarke just let it hang there and glared at Thompson, while presumably Thompson was peeing in his pants. You could have heard a pin drop for a few seconds there.
I sat there mesmorized by the look Clarke was giving him, and couldn't help but think, 'Damn, I wouldn't want to fuck with Clarke'.

There are VERY few republicans I have any respect for, but Clarke just catapulted right to the top of my list. He is what a true American Patriot looks like.

There is nothing quite so compelling as someone with the guts to speak truth to power.
