Unbelievable
Edited on Wed Mar-24-04 02:07 PM by wtf
Fox cutaway from the Clarke testimony for a story on him with the headline: "flip-flopper?"

I SHIT YOU NOT.

This is great, this is the kind of thing that even a lot of hardcore * supporters and Fox News supporters will see through. Things really ARE falling apart. It's all coming down, finally.

This is a great day and god bless the bravery of Richard Clarke and others like him.

1. Clarke is not alone - he has corroboration on this
The transcript presented may have just been his being a good soldier. But as posted elsewhere, Clarke had told his current story to Time Mag as early as Aug 4, 2002.

I read the transcript again, and looked at some of the other posts on the board, and don't see this transcript so damaging as some have presented.

2. Journalistic excellence at its finest
faux is doing its job to keep the slowly shrinking base intact. Fair and balanced would be showing his sworn testimony to the country then politicizing the issue after the fact by people identified as editorialists, but I digress to the choir.

3. Fox is Soviet Pravda pure and simple
Roger Ailes would have, economic disputes aside, felt just as comfortable doing this job for Joe Stalin.

If the "whole truth" were told about 9/11 a significant number of the current administration would be led away in chains.

18. Hey, lets be easy on the French Quarter
I enjoy the libations at my favorite watering hole (Tropical Isle) and I have no doubt bush, cheney, rumsfeld etc are the liars in this drama. And I also have no doubt lil condi has something to hide. Mr Clarke is articulate and a man of integrity. In other words, a bad fit for the current residents administration.

And I'll drink to that.

14. Bales of laughter...
...worried much?

Who can we trust to tell the truth? Certainly not Bush, and Condi won't appear. Those of us with more journalistic integrity than Faux News have actually already looked up and cross-referenced Clarke's statements with corroborating information. The Bush administration had its pants around their ankles when bin Laden struck, and then they tried to capitalize on the tragedy out of sheer political opportunism to score tax cuts and no-bid contracts for friends and family. Bush and his entire cabal are traitors, and they should score for themselves a traitors reward.

First it's not hate mail.
Second Mr Clark is not nor has he ever been a politician. Third when we get posts like yours it usually comes from right wing lurkers. If you're not one cool. If you are I don't think you'll be here long, that's all.

27. There is no question no matter what you think of Clarke
Bush and Cheney do not want full questioning, and Rice will not even attend.

Bush let the ball drop, this has been reinforced by Hart and rudmann, and many others

He was appointed by Reagan, Bush, Sr., Clinton and Bush, Jr. to his post.
