If you're not with us, you're bitter...
From http://www.johnkerry.com/pressroom/clips/news_2004_0323d.html

...In the past week, GOP Sens. John McCain (Ariz.) and Chuck Hagel (Neb.) have broken ranks and defended Kerry against President Bush's assertion that the Massachusetts senator is weak on national defense..... Grover Norquist, a GOP lobbyist close to the White House, said, "McCain is just full of bitterness. Hagel is McCain's only friend in the Senate..."

I'm starting to lose track, let's get a count:

McCain - bitter
Hagel - bitter cause he's McCain's friend
O'Neil - bitter
Joe Wilson - bitter
Clarke - bitter and disgruntled

Who did I miss?

17. that's the tack now....
On Hardball the other night, Tweety was asking Clarke's colleagues if he was "of sound mind and body." The Bush administration, through its surrogates like Rush and Hannity, are also suggesting he has "issues," and "personal agendas."
It's their m.o.
Criticisms of the boy king will not be tolerated -- they must be countered with accusations of either bias, unsavory motives, or the like.
They did the same with Paul O'Neill, too -- suggesting that he was a doddering old nimcompoop who couldn't remember what he said from one minute to the next. See Richard Cohen's column today in the Washington Post.

18. one more tidbit
from talkingpointsmemo.com today:

Amazing. Jim Woolsey is on Lou Dobbs show, as I write. He continues to press the Iraq-al Qaida link, suggests only that it's not clear Saddam 'ordered' the 9/11 attacks (my recollection, I haven't seen the transcript yet), and goes on to accuse Clarke of being crazy or thoroughly lacking in credibility because he accuses Woolsey, Laurie Mylroie and others of saying what they have in
fact been saying for years. A through-the-looking-glass performance.

7. More To The List
- Log Cabin Repugnicans - Andrew Sullivan - Well they're gay anyway...screw 'em

- Military families - Stop-losses, cuts in benefits/pay & services, impending draft, quamire...but we're safer, no???

- Spain - Well they're close to France

- Pat Buchanan - He's not a Repugnican anymore anyway

- Harvey Pitt - Remember him? He fell on the petard

- Christie Todd-Whitmann - methinks she's waiting for her chance to get even

- Lou Dobbs - Grumpy New York Elitist - he's just not "with the program"

- Alan Greenspan - You know he's gonna be the fall guy this fall...he was Clinton's guy all along.

- Richard Armitage - you can see this guy is ready to burst

- Lincoln Chaffee - Talk about being a party of one

There's my 2 cents (or less Canadian)

8. You forgot Karen Kwiatkowski
...military lieutenant colonel, writes for the very non-leftist, libertarian/paleoconservative LewRockwell.com, and said in one article that she was happy at the time Bush first got into office and only later did she sour on the administration. Yet she criticizes Bush and the neocons, so she must be a leftist and an anti-American traitor! :) :puke:

Shit, I'm so "bitter" that ALUM would be sweet by comparison.

My country has turned into a nightmare state, run by and for the sole benefit of Capitalists and "Dr. Strangelove" types who need death to attain sexual satisfaction, I will have to work until I'm dead because I won't be able to afford retirement, but the good news is that I'll be healthier until I die because I will be walking and biking to that job, because all the gasoline will either be gone or $12 a gallon, and the only thing on the road will be military police vehicles looking for "terra-ists" and Capitalists in their "H-25" penis-augmentors.

Hell yes, I'm bitter. Wouldn't you be?
If you're not bitter, you're not paying attention.

15. Hey it beats being Gulagged in a "Mental Institution"
How many years until this or a similar Bushevik Methodology is applied to enemies of the State?

My guess: No later than the reign of Emperor George P. Caligula, but probably no earlier than the reign of Emperor Ahnold.
