1. Here's why it wouldn't work
In sports betting there is a huge enforcement system to stop bribes to players to throw games. It usually works.

With the Supreme Court, there is no enforcement mechanism to stop bribes (like duck hunting trips using chartered luxury jets), so it would be just too easy to make a bet on how a "justice" would vote and then bribe him to vote that way.

:-)

Sounds sick, but its just true.

3. Gaming Commission may have more power than Congress
They could suspend Scalia pending a hearing. And then revoke is license to practice law. Emphasis on practice.
