wealth
Here is my dilemma - america is supposed to symbolize the land of opportunity (hogwash but there you are) and riches. Why is it then when someone succeeds in acquiring wealth (as honestly as is possible) he is then condemmed? Is it jealousy or do some peoplehave too much time on their hands?

1. I have no problem with honest wealth...we all want it
I have a distinct disdain, however, for the upper investment class. To me, that is not honest work--it's basically gambling and someone has to lose for the other to win.

I have a problem with the "greedy" who have more money than God yet worry one penny of their earnings might go to some worthy cause. Excessive wealth without social responsibility is immoral IMO

Enjoy your earnings and give thanks that you are able to do what you do; many cannot. Peace

I'm not rich, but if i were.... I know i couldn't live a decadent lifestyle. I'd buy a nice middle class home, and plan how much i would need to live for the rest of my life, and i would give the rest to charities and to the community. That's just me.

Years ago, my grandfather bought a nice home on a blue collar salary, while my grandmother stayed home and raised 5 children. They didn't have major money problems. Today, capitalism is a game you have to play hard to survive. Most families have 2 working parents and many still can't keep up with the bills.

I just don't understand how a goverment/society can reward successful people while the poor become bottom dwellers waiting for crumbs.

5. Exactly...
... who are you talking about? I don't hear much condemnation of the rich, only villification of the poor.
