God, that www.fundrace.org site is depressing....
Even just typing in any area code I could think of, so many $2,000 donations to bush. And when there were a lot of non-bush contributions it was to Dean.

Although my name wasn't on there and I gave money to Kerry last week. So maybe some of the contributions just take a while to get up on that site and we'll see more Kerry donations shortly.

1. Those donations were made before 12/31/03
I'm assuming they will update the list after the 1st quarter.

2. heh
My parents' neighborhood seems to have a lot of Bush and Lieberman people.

It'd be interesting to see some statistics on employment vs. candidates. I wish I had more time to crunch the numbers.

And ohmygod! I just searched my neighborhood and they're all bush supporters! They look so nice and friendly on the street...*shiver*

3. I know from my donations to Dem candidates....
that it's either woefully outdated, or very incomplete.
Not that that is much comfort.....

4. it's only depressing if you're in a repuke neighborhood
In my neighborhood, there were approximately 100 donations and about 9 were for bush and out of those nine, a couple were families where the husband donated 2 grand and his wife donated 2 grand. So all in all, maybe 7 donations to bush.

6. My Area
Which is admittedly a Republican stink-hole... ugh. There were so many prominent community leaders, all of whom gave Bush* $2,000 a piece. It's sickening. A few big contributions to Clark, for what that's worth and then a few less for Dean.

8. type in my zip code - 90404 - and you'll feel better
the only people giving to Bush in my neighborhood seem to be real estate developers.

9. I found our Mayor listed...
Had no idea she was such a huge Bush fan. She seems to give large amounts to the Republican party every couple of months and to something like, the Manufactured Homes Association. I get the impression that people are finding creative ways to give money to Dubya without directly violating any laws.

I am more than willing to have my political contributions made public if it means that I get to keep an eye on who my local politicians and business people are supporting.

10. Try 76502...and be depressed.
$43810 Bush*
$ 2475 Other

thats 95% chimp, and people wonder why I'm paranoid. I'll effectively be doubling the non-Bush* (Kerry) donations for my zip, making me stick out like a clown at a funeral.

Is there any to donate and NOT be on this list?

11. I think if you're under a certain amount you're not on it
maybe $250 or something. I'm not sure, but I donated to Dean and I didn't make the list. :)

12. 56001 has very few donations at all
but a couple $2000 ones to Bush and and the biggest non-Bush only being $400 to Dean. Of course, I suppose that's expected in this town, while it's rather liberal, that's due to being a college town, aka the liberals here don't have the money.

13. Ha ha
According to that site, on my block alone, there are ELEVEN $2000 contributors to Kerry and only two $2000 donors to Bush.

Of course my block is just a little different than most blocks around the country.
