It wouldn't let me vote on the Avant browser. I had to go to IE.

Second time in a row. Wonder why?

Results: 91% say responsible economic policy
9% say the other dumb thing.

Although last night my post was how Jean Shaheen B--ch slapped him about him not interrupting racicot but interrupting her, I must applaud him on his series on the economy and outsourcing. We all must give credit where credit is due. He does deserve this one, maybe others will follow.
on edit I voted!

8. GM Outsourcing White-Collar Jobs
March 23, 2004 03:48 PM EST

DETROIT, Mar 23, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Detroit's General Motors plans to cut costs by sharply increasing the number of white-collar jobs its outsources, the Detroit News reported Tuesday.

"In 2003, we began offshoring activities moving $3.5 (million) of work to lower-cost locations," an internal GM report obtained by the News states. "And we are planning to increase that to $48 (million) in 2004."

Monster Paychecks Still Going to CEOs

March 23, 2004 07:43 AM EST

NEW YORK, Mar 23, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Big Wall Street firms are still doling out seven-figure paychecks for top officers, despite a growing stigma in other industries against such largesse.

Here's a sample:

-- $44 million for Sanford I. Weill of Citigroup,

-- $28 million for E. Stanley O'Neal of Merrill Lynch and

-- $27 million for James E. Cayne at Bear Sterns.

In some cases CEOs were rewarded for profits gained through firings, the New York Times reported Tuesday.
