Bush's smartest move EVER....
Edited on Tue Mar-23-04 05:32 PM by Richardo
...by limiting his "interview" with the 9/11 Commission to just Keane and the vice chair, he will NOT have the "opportunity" :) to get grilled by Richard Ben-Viniste.

Talk about blood on the walls! Bushie would have zero chance.

4. Smart move.
I think his smartest move was his total reaction to 9/11. There was no debate over whether we should go get rid of Al-Quieda (I'm spelling it like i hear it-please correct me), it was just "they tell me this is it- i've given the word." No one questioned him- mostly because the news said it too. Bush's less-educated move was his immigrant plan. Yuck.

8. Welcome to DU, Iwantthetruth_duh
Stick around and you'll see a lot more less-than-intelligent moves by Bush.

3. Bush's smartest move ever would be to quit
but since that ain't happening, I guess we'll have to settle for your scenario.

6. By "limiting the interview" he proves that
he has no courage.

Truly, a miserable failure.

We need a man with courage leading our country - not a sissy.

He's a bigger wimp than 41.

7. Bush* and Smart in the same sentence together ~ What a stretch
 I find it strange that he can dictate the terms of his discovery process.

9. Punk Move
I think the Kerry camp should make the Bush "interview" a major deal. I think Kerry should get a number of different sources to make the attacks, so that GW is constantly on the defensive. The media just needs one insignificant "gossip" issue to focus on. Look how much traction "he created the internet" got. It's so much out their, who knows what will stick with people. Say for example, Bush's commont that "thier should be limits to freedom." I also think they should pay more attention to the fact that Bush is actually from Connecticut. Play that up a bit. Make him seem like a some kinda carpetbagger.

You know, "A connecticut yankie" pretending to be from the south. If so many people actually think their stoll is a connection between 9/11 and Saddam Hussein, Image the percetage who think he was actually born in Texas, and will feel even more misled. Start labeling Bush more, with that misleader label and just keep on hitting it. A man who misleads and doesn't keep his word. I think the dem party should get more Dem celebrities involved. They should say, "the only time Bush doesn't want to talk about terrorism is when it actually matters." If he's willing to talk about his great response, then he should be able to stand up to scrutiny.

And keep pounding that home until his advisors make him interview, like on Face the Nation. Put him on the defensive about his unwillingness. Keep asking the question, sooner or later, he or they will have to give an answer, the problem is, they know nothing they say will be suitable. Make him seem like he's ducking and hiding, because that's what he is. Work on his machismo, people need to start using that sh*t against him. "Mr. President, why are you scared to appear before the American People and......... I think this guy will blow up worse than Dean if he were ever actually grilled, and not allowed to give those general ass answers that answer nothing.
