Neal Boortz says he wishes women weren't allowed to vote
. . . ooohhh, I hate that man with an effing passion! he is the most whiney-sounding pseudointellectual gasbag out there, worse even than Limpballs (who yesterday sounded like was possessed, chanting like a holy roller with eyes rolling to the back of his head--seriously!!)--but anyway, today I almost drove off the road hearing Neal Boortz say that he wished women weren't allowed to vote because, as a result of physiological and "anthropological" differences, women care mainly about "security" and "being taken care of" whereas men care mainly about "freedom." He said if women had been in charge in the 1700s there would never have been an American Revolution and we would still be British subjects. He was going on as though he were an eminent scholar on the subject of gender issues--truth of the matter is he is a worm with a few neurons and the unfortunate ability to speak English. Not only women, but those "on welfare" and those who have student loans should not be allowed to vote--because of course they vote for Democrats, which by his pinhead way of thinking is seriously misguided. In other words, anybody who benefits by the policies of the Democratic Party should not be allowed to vote. Of course those who profit by the greedhead earth-raping resource-stealing warmongering policies of the Repuke Party--corporate warlords and so on--weren't mentioned.

He also says the president and senators should not be elected by the people, only congressmen (sic), who would appoint the president. This is the kind of contempt in which this ignorant bonehead holds the American public.

Wll I, a woman say, hey you asinine dick, why don't you buy an island somewhere and take your handful of braindead followers and show us feebs how to do it? Take your macho hunter-gatherer fantasies and shove em up your well-traveled back door.

1. So Condaleeza Rice shouldn't be able to vote?
Sometimes I wish I had a cell phone when I'm listening to the radio... but I remember that if I did call I wouldn't get put on the air because I say something rational.

2. Don't kid yourself, Busheviks wish EVERYONE wasn't allowed to vote
Except them, of course. Which is why I loathe those unAmerican sh*tpiles and will fight to my last ounce of breath to keep their Orwellian Empire from coming into being!

that the Bushes wish to emulate. No voting.

26. Oh come now, they're not THAT bad ...
They actually subscribe to the "one dollar-one vote" principle, based on personal net worth! Kinda like the One share-one vote system they use for their corporate holdings.

On second thought, no. They don't need reinforcements.

Instead, let's highly publicize his comments. There goes the soccer mom vote for Bush!

10. that was also supposed to be
a swipe and the BFEE who have completely taken their collective eye off the ball and allowed their fellow fundies to re-occupy vast tracts of Afghanistan.

Remember, we fought there to free women..uh huh, just like we're in Iraq to free the Iraqis.

Hey, if men were perfect I would be very happy to turn over all responsibility to them and just coast through life letting someone else make all the decisions and solving all the problems.

You take away the white male vote in the South and Al Gore wins in 2000 by a landslide.

12. If women were "in charge" in the 1700s, would there have been repression?
As far as I can tell, it's men who created the model of having a sort of wolf-pack hierarchy for their governments. I think this argument can be turned back against him. Who in the world is he, anyway?

19. he is a so-called libertarian RW radio gasbag
. . . here in north central Florida his ignorant spewl runs just prior to Rush's. After hearing his mental diarrhea I always actually find Rush to be a relief. I listen to them when I'm driving around. When the *^@%$ are Al Gore, Al Franken et al. getting that leftist radio station off the ground?

13. Phyllis Schaffly said the "traditional role of women in Iraq is good for
democracy"

things like this - from a woman no less- and the women should vote stuff is why the Democratic Party is scarred stiff for our country.
There are a lot of right wing nut cases in charge. If we didn't have us Democrats to balance things, it would be a mess. The pubs are doing everything they can to eliminate the Democrats and you can see what we would be left with.

I swear that I have seen the drivel written by these 2 rwing harpies espouse this same idea - if women weren't allowed to vote we never would have had Bill Clinton as a president.

Not trying to defend Boortz. Merely pointing out that insanity and oppression seems to be common within this group.

Personally, I believe that we'd be in DEEP DEEP SHIT without the voices of women being able to be heard.

20. exactly
women can actually communicate and deal with situations in a calm way. They don't suffer from the "Bigger-dick" syndrome that men do (George Carlin bit that rings so true).

it goes like this:

"They have a bigger dick than us? BOMB THEM!"

17. If he actually said that
(I don't know, I did not listen to him today; I got to sleep in til 11 am today :) ) then he has a sick view of the world. He calls himself a libertarian but REAL libertarians relish in personal freedom. Boortz wants to destroy it. This is the same man who I remember saying that gays shouldn't be allowed to marry b/c single people don't get the same rights as married people (something to that extent). He tries to tell everyone that he is an independent Libertarian but it is so obvious that he is a staunch GOP republican. At least Rush makes no efforts to hide his 'right' stride.

18. A Coulter several times said women shouldn't be allowed to vote
One reason she gave: 'the only thing women understand about economics is how to shop at the mall.'

After Reagan win in 80, there were several callers to IA talk shows that said the country started downhill when women got the right to vote.

And wasn't there an TV 'analysis' of the 2000 selection in which the pundits talked about how bushco would have 'won' in a 'landslide' if blacks had not voted?????

Like Scalia pointed out in 2000, the constitution says the state legislature determines the state vote for president - just failed to note that had never been literally followed before.

An ammendment ca 1900 dropped the constitutional rule that state legislators voted for the state's US senators. Amendment changed that to a direct vote of the people in the state.

GOP wants to go pre 1860.

24. I believe I have heard him mention his wife at some time
. . . not quite sure though.
He is from Atlanta and apparently flies small airplanes as a hobby or something.
More could be gleaned from his website but I don't have the stomach for that, much less the time or spiritual well-being to waste.

the air. Because he attacked women, I expect he will be allowed to continue to pedal his misogynistic drivel. Anyone who thinks that women have fully achieved equality in our society should consider this. :grr:
