At first I thought, WTF is he doing?

His line was basically attacking low level CIA for witholding critical info from policy makers....of course!

The Pub controlled comittees won't allow the Dems to investigate the *admin directly (witch hunt, political partisanship etc.). Go after the CIA, and make them produce documentation in their defence, hence solidifying the case against the cabal in a roundabout way.
