Here's how you will know that * is toast!
When Repuke Congressman and Senators (up for re-election this year) start to distance themselves or worse openly become critical. Unlike Dems, Repukes don't break ranks except when their own neck in on the line. Those Repukes whose re-election is in jeopardy will flee like rats from a burning ship. Just watch and see. As the poll numbers sag for The Resident watch the scurrying rats. At that time you will know * is toast. IMHO if things keep moving at the pace they are - you ought to see the revolt going in earnest in the next few months.
Hasta La Vista Scumbags!

4. Here is who is up for re-election
All of the Congress and one third of the Senate. That means every Repuke Congressman will have to tie himself to the President's apron strings or distance himself. The worse the re-elect numbers for Bush the more they will separate. These folks know full well what the internal polls are saying. You can be they will be heading to the life boats as soon as the ship starts to list.

5. Among the notables
Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania has never done well in a Presidential election year.

Lisa Murkowski of Alaska has ben in a heap of trouble all election cycle.

Kit Bond is no guarantee, either.

Then there are open seats in Colorado and Oklahoma

3. We need congressmen. Hagel was a good start. McCain too
Paul O'Neil and Richard Clarke are both Republicans.

I think it's an orange alert, baby!

6. Yeah, McCain standing up for Kerry was a tomahawk missile
against BushCo. At least here in Arizona.

7. It always make me warm and fuzzy over how conservatives
don't hesitate to stab each other in the back when their dirty deeds and lies can't be covered up anymore. Oh, then the walking in lockstep becomes an everyone for themselves scramble for the nearest shelter.
