Is 9/11 LIHOP about to break???
I read a story in the Wall Street Journal today pointing out many inconsistencies in the official 9/11 story and calling on the Bush Administration to come clean. Then I watched NBC Nightly News and saw a report on the 9/11 commission which went into quite a great deal of detail about the Bush Administration's stonewalling and refusals to cooperate. Asked why the President and Condi would not testify publicly.

Then I switched to CNN and Paula Zahn had THREE people on (Senator Graham, Joe Klein, and someone else) who were basically spelling out 9/11 LIHOP without actually directly saying it. Once again, many inconsistencies were raised and the tone was that something was DEFINITELY up.

I get the feeling the media has either a) finally caught on to the fact that they were duped and/or b) think that they can finally touch the issue at this time. They've waited for the moment to come and now that Bush is vulnerable they are going to BRING HIM DOWN!

So does anyone else think 9/11 LIHOP is going to break soon? Right now they seem to be warming it up, saying that 9/11 could have been stopped. Next they might talk about the fact that the Bush Administration had so many advanced warnings and did nothing, and finally they might just drop the bombshell.

Yes, my fellow tin foil hatters, I believe our day of vindication is near. What say you?

2. Hard to say.
I expressly went to the B&N and bought the WS Journal for that article. Nothing new in it for me, but it is a BIG deal to see it there. Michael Rivero at www.whatreallyhappened.com has been pushing that timeline for a very long time. He has every right today to be very proud of his efforts.

for a couple years now.

I suspect that the reason they weren't doing it earlier was that they felt they had to wait for the timing to be right. Now with Bush backpedaling seriously they are ready to pile in on him. I never thought I would see the day, but I gotta say that at this point I will be SURPRISED if 9/11 LIHOP doesn't come out as it has been practically spelled out to the public after today.

27. So far it looks like the message is: "They screwed up bigtime," not LIHOP
Still pretty fucking devastating, though. What I take away from Clarke et al is the not-so-subtext of: "They were so obsessed with Iraq that they willfully ignored what was right in front of their nose: that Al Qaeda, not Iraq, was the danger. Before *and* after 9/11, from the very beginning, in fact. Thousands of people died that day; thousands more in Iraq, and *none of it had to happen.*"

If people come away with that impression after watching 60 minutes or a related story, that ought to be plenty good enough to bring the miserable motherfuckers down. I know it's good enough for me. BASTARDS. I'm furious all over again.

3. Can you believe it was in the WALL STREET JOURNAL??
I saw it here online first things this morning, but went right in to my boss' office and looked at his hard copy, and showed him what it was and what it meant. :) ( He's already on our side anyway.)

This is the blurb on the front page of their web site http://online.wsj.com/public/us. Under "PAGE ONE".

Accounts of 9/11 Reveal Gaps, Inconsistencies
The independent commission studying Sept. 11 is trying to piece together a detailed picture of the government's response, but interviews with those who played key roles or directly witnessed events suggest that some official accounts are incorrect, incomplete or in dispute.

6. The Richard Clarke story is just the tip of the iceberg
The 9/11 testimonies are to begin tomorrow. I fear what BushCo will do to pre-empt it. And the Plame indictments haven't even been announced. OMG!:scared:

23. Then there's the ENRON Energy Foreign and Domestic policies...
It looks like Corporate McPravda is finally catching up with the "intimidating" lying, election-thieving, murdering, sociopathic morons. About time.

But, back to the point, the tip of the iceberg:

Bush Knew & Terrorists Flew.
The FBI warned Washington.
The CIA warned Washington.
The NSA warned Washington.
The INS warned Washington.
The DoS warned Washington.
The DoD warned Washington.

The UN warned Washington.

Bush was in Crawford.
So he didn't hear about it.
Sure.
Just ask all those people who warned Washington.

PS: Bet most of them agree with Richard Clarke's version of events. Otherwise, they wouldn't be under orders to zip it.

7. Depends on what you mean by "LIHOP"
How is "Letting It Happen On Purpose" possible since decisions and actions HAD to have been made/taken, in order for the "attacks" to have taken place.

I think the Administration can "live" with copping a plea to "maybe could have done more or mistakes were made etc.". What they CAN'T live with is the truth: 9-11 was a MIHOP Conspiracy, NOT LIHOP.

Edited on Mon Mar-22-04 09:18 PM by tom_paine
MIHOP was proved or even investigated?

The floors of the Imperial Senate would be slick with blood, as it was during the days ofImperial Rome.

But I think the Imperial Senate knows that, as do all the "journalists" who love their lives and livelihoods and would fear to lose them.

I don't think it will come to that, LIHOP will remain a "Crazy conspiracy theory".

You know...like the break-in at the Watergate Hotel.

20. I don't think there's a critical mass of Americans prepared for the truth
about this administration. And not just about this administration: about the half century of corruption which is the National Security State. Without it, Cheney/Bush would not be possible. The National Security State is the changeling in America's place, which most Americans cannot acknowledge.

18. This may sound a tad paranoid, but I am Really glad we are flying
to our cabin in Colorado for a mini-family reunion tommorrow morning. Been planned for months - I wish I could stay there until the election! Great location, stocked for years.

I just cannot see this cabal of rats going down with the ship without attemping to DO SOMETHING to stop it.

I know this sounds paranoid - but there is an aspect of serendipity involved (at least for my psyche).

========================

Very nice 911 piece! It's a joy to see the mainstream media doing its job of
informing/educating the public rather than routinely regurgitating a white-washed
version of events

Now take it a step further and ask why the Bush Administration is populated
primarily by members of the PNAC......(Hint: The PNAC intended to invade Iraq as
far back as 1997 and they planned on bombing Afghanistan in MAY of 2001....911 was
just the pretext for that to occur.)

Now THIS is a story that desperately needs to be told (and your homework has already
been done for you!)

25. It could. But, Republicans are in charge.
Only a few of them have scruples, and they have little or no power.

Just thinking.

The FBI FISA denier, might be fearing for her life if a Senator decided to offer her immunity for testimony on who suggested dropping the field requests. The result would be so bad for Republicans even the scrupled would faint.

The immunity would go through Ashcroft. End of that attempt.

Keeping-the-planes-down-General is too old to make new friends, and too immature to have concern over sleeping at night.

Colin surmises enough to know he'd be better off not disturbing the rattlesnakes until he has to run.

Condi accidentally fell in way too deep. Immunity would do her no good.

Rummy won't talk. He has his dream job.

Bush is padding his family fortune that the death tax repeal makes a huge transfer of money a few years after poppy dies. He's the unwitting kingpin. He's not talking.

Cheney is just happy that the ground war saved his company's butt from Enroning into ruin. The war affords the company ample money to avoid embarrassing revelations of accounting. Even the asbestos problems are paid for, although he'd still enjoy the money that Congress could save him from having to pay the dying workers and families.

Forgot Ashcroft. He's forgettable.

I just don't see it falling apart just yet. For me, LIHOP is more that when Bush found out, he went on vacation. He'd make money on a war, they all would, all he had to do was enjoy his ranch.

Gore conceded. Republicans are in charge. It could happen.
