Vincent Bugliosi for CA Governor?
Why not? Solid crime fighting (security) credentials, despises the Bushies, has won elected office before.

Does Bugliosi have baggage, other than the general crankiness?

2. He wrote a book on OJ
and I started to read it, but then got stuck somewhere around page 10 when I realized for the last eight pages all he was doing was ranting about how "nobody in America does their job right anymore!" His tone reminded me of Rush Limbaugh and I found some of his arguments too reminiscent of things I've heard conservative acquantances moan on and on about: the Welfare State, the parasite class of consultants, etc. really turned me off, as did his toatl lack of comprehension about the hippie movement in "Helter Skelter." He seems very dismissive of ideas which are less than Nixonian. I dunno, what ARE Bugliosi's politics? From his writing, I get the impression he's a right-winger.

Anyways, I'd rather have Leo Buscaglia than Vinny Bugliosi anyday! Hugs all around!

5. He's not
He wrote a book about the 2000 presidential election that was scathing toward the right.

3. He's a foaming-at-the-mouth promoter of the WOD.
He wrote a book entitled "Drugs in America: The Case for Victory: A Citizen's Call to Action" wherein he proposes launching military invasions (primarily in South America) with US troops to eliminate drug lords, placing IRS agents at banks and altering US currency.

No thanks, Vinnie.
