Interesting...Biden & Leiberman defend Bush regarding RClark allegations
It baffled me when i read in a story tonight on Yahoo news that Biden and Leiberman made a point to defend Bush's record regarding his dealing with Al Qeda before and after 9-11.
Leiberman referenced Clark's comments as "rhetoric" and not based on "fact". Huh?
I respect Dems who don't always toe the party line (as biden and leiberman have done at times) but i don't get this at all.

1. It's also interesting that the news networks are quoting them
is it because they are Democrats? I can only imagine What Zelly Miller has to say about Clarke.

4. Do they not understand how difficult them make it for the rest of us ??
And how much harm they are doing to America by opening their big fat mouths and defending Bush on this one??

6. If they know something
that Bush did do to fight al Qaeda, why don't they say it instead of saying that Clarke is wrong.

They really sound like lock step republicans when they criticize the messenger rather than give facts to disprove the message.

7. They are full of themselves. Biden, who has been critical of Bush,
should know better and shut up. Clarke is going to testify under oath. Biden has some "weight" because of his foreign policy experience...I forget which committee he is on. This makes me really wonder about Biden.

Lieberman...well, he's been a lost cause for ages...

Why are they complicating things for Kerry, who's got enough problems?
And, if Clark is VP, it even undercuts his consistent comments about Bush's inaction (wrong action).

It's not the first time I've asked that about either of those two.

9. I almost got thrown off of DU once because I dared criticize
Lieberman back THEN. I called him a Republican. Sacre Bleu. I hope the hens are coming back to roost now and not on me.

10. A few dems love that war. Some of them are mum now. Like this guy:

"Can I just go back a moment ago -- to a question you asked just a moment ago? You asked, I believe, Senator Kerry earlier whether there's an exaggeration of the threat of the war on terrorism.
"It's just hard for me to see how you can say there's an exaggeration when thousands of people lost their lives on September the 11th."

13. I'm baffled
Maybe they figure they get a shot at the white house four years earlier if shrub wins.

Clarke nails it: Bush is to blame for 9/11. Lieberman and Biden don't see that YET?

Incredible.

14. Well that answers my question as to if our senators didn't know what
Clarke knew or if they were complicit in Bush's deception.

Just color me disgusted.

15. Lieberman doesn't want to admit he was wrong
it's as simple as that. He's been a major proponent of the invasion, and his ego is so goddamn big he'll drop dead before he'd admit to being wrong.

Biden, hell, I don't know what's wrong with that guy except he's a sleazeball and I wouldn't buy a used waterbed from that fucker.
